This box with the 8 packs was the starting point for me and my son to begin our collection for XY evolutions and WE LOVED IT!!!! Love the old school look and we got an amazing assortment of cards, BARELY a couple doubles which we were a little skeptical about. My son loves Charizard so was excited to get a Charizard Holo and Charizard EX. I was fond of the Mewtwo and Jigglypuff. Those were my favorites back in the day, never cared much about what card was valuable or popular.. We enjoyed the reverse holo Pikachu too. But we had so much fun and will definitely be buying again!!!!! 5 STARS! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Oh yeah, I wanted to buy this ETB box because I really wanted to XY evolution. I wanted to look at the reviews because I noticed there was a lot of resealed ETB boxes going around and the boxes I’ve been getting on Amazon have been closed and not opened so I’ve been getting lucky and I’ve been grateful for that but unfortunately, unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed. I thought four out of the eight packs were resealed because at the top of the corner you could see A slice mark that was like the pack was open and I could feel it and my nail would rub against it and it would make a sound and I automatically knew it was opened. I contact the seller immediately and I told him what had happened and he said immediately that it was a factory error. Making excuses and just saying that it could’ve been this or that but mainly it was probably a factory error because he bought these in 2020 and that has been never opened since he bought these. I requested a refund, even though it said that it was not eligible to be refunded, and I just opened them regardless of anything I pulled some hallows and one full art that was a trainer, and his name was Brock grit and that was it as soon as I noticed that I started looking at the packs from the inside and every single pack had a burn mark inside of it so instead of 4 out of 8 it was 8/8. And when I contact the seller first, I was very angry and aggressive and I apologize and I started to believe that it was a factory error, but then I started to believe him again and I was getting more angry because I felt like he was just toying with me in lying to me and he was. After I opened all of them, I got the refund granted. I had already sleeved all the good cards that I felt were good and I had told him hey that I opened the box like there was just no point and I thought I wasn’t gonna get a refund and that I want my money back still and I’ll send it to him, and then he decided to complain that he had to fill out a bunch of paperwork and I told him that’s fine. You do what you need to do for me to get my money back who sold these products and you’ve been getting horrible reviews said that those reviews aren’t that it’s the products and that these reviews aren’t his and that there are different person reviews basically saying that those aren’t his, but they are so , do not buy from the seller or his ex blastoid ETB He will scam you. I paid nearly $400 for the ticket shipped on time and for me to open it with my family and just for it to be all spoiled and he’s been doing this since 2021 I suggest if you were scammed or you were thinking about buying this and you read all these comments to report the seller because I know I will be and if you’re looking for packs like this, I recommend TikTok I know that sounds very Gen Z but a lot of people reliable and I’ve bought in pack from there and it’s been shipped and it’s on the way and they just sell individual packs and you can literally buy nine on there if you wanted to .i trust that more than this guy and ... show more

    • Collecting or competing?
I bought this for nostalgic reasons. I thought it might be cool to try playing the game too (maybe). I also have no interest in anything beyond the original 151 pokemon. So, this set is designed for playing the game. A good deal of your money is going toward coins, dice and other gaming accessories. Also, there is a fat stack of energy cards in there. That being said, you will get a lot of the good old cards in each set, but they repeat a lot (I bought the Blastoise box as well and I have more repeats then I'm willing to count). Each booster pack has one holographic just like the old days, but you might get a really basic or worse trainer holo. Don't think that there is going to be a holo blastoise in every pack. And that leads me to my final point; the most powerful pokemon haven't retained their original artwork. They have made them into mega or ex variants- good for battle, but not for nostalgia. If you want to play the game the set is great. For collecting the cards of yesterday, much less so. ... show more

Legit pulled a charizard holo sooo I’d say this was absolutely worth it. I know it comes down to luck but the product was real, unlike many Amazon Pokémon card sellers and I pulled exactly what I wanted.

Overall, it was good. The only thing that I was not happy was that some of the packs were rip and open a little. I did receive some great cards. I wish it was the Chizard, but overall I’m happy with it.
