I have been looking for sturdy and imaginative toys during the days when I babysit my niece and nephew (ages 7 and 5 respectively). They loved playing with the Playmobil school bus and ice cream truck so I thought that I'd take a chance with the ambulance as well. I like the little details: the backwards spelling of "ambulance" (so that it can be read correctly when viewed in a car's rearview mirror, not really necessary for pretend play but still pretty cool), the interior rear cabin of the ambulance with the seat for medic and the shelf to store gear, and how the gurney can be secured so as not to move around while the vehicle is in motion. Though, like other Playmobil vehicles, it comes with very small accessories that can be easily lost or accidentally eaten by a pet. I also like the rubber-like tires. It adds realism during creative play. Overall, it's a fun and decent toy. Arrived promptly and undamaged. Thumbs up! ... show more

My 3 year old loves playing with cars, but unfortunately, most cars for her age do not allow figures to sit in. Well, remove all the small pieces from the Playmobil set, and what do you get, a very functional, versatile car, little Playmobil people can sit in, be transported etc. This is one of many she now has, and she loves to drive them to the castle of fort to pick up the injured animals. Combined with the fire truck, this is a great make believe play set. The detail is also very well worked out. 1) The top of the roof comes off for easier access to the inside. 2) The front cockpit comes off to put the driver in 3) The "ambulance" word spelled on the front is mirrored. That detailed surprised me, since it is accurate, but I would not have expected that level of accuracy for such a cheap toy. 4) The rubber tires are soft, so they won't scratch wooden floors. I like the Playmobile brand, they're products are well made & durable, and pretty detailed. Doors open, lights flash, parts snap together easily for small hands. My son enjoys these toys, it's great for creative play time. This ambulance even came with a driver and patient, so it allows him to pretend to be either one. Purchased this for my 3 year old grandson. He loves it and always asks for it when he comes over. The siren and lights are realistic. Pieces and manipulation of some parts are a little advanced for his age but are durable and will grow with him. I can't say enough about these toys. My son received the ambulance, police car, and pirate ship for Christmas. Once he opened them, nothing else mattered. I've watched him take pirates to the hospital in the ambulance and arrest them on the pirate ship. The pirates have come back home "good guys" and now they're on the police sqaud. This is exactly what I hoped for! We are seeing that amazing, imaginative play that most toys available don't foster to. They weren't hard to put together. I set all 3 up in about an hour. The ambulance required no assembly. I made sure to assemble before wrapping them up so they would appeal to him immediately. I will without a doubt buy this brand in the future. ... show more

The classic toys never go out of style. This is the same quality of Playmobil from when you were a kid. The ambulance has flashing red lights and makes a weeoo weeoo siren sound. It's pretty neat. Plus the stretcher is super cool. It has an IV bag and rubber tube and hooks into the patient and everything. It was a huge hit with my 5 year old. We got this for my sons 3rd birthday and he is obsessed! I love how it makes the sounds and lights up like a real ambulance. It comes with lots of small accessories which is neat but definitely be aware of what age the kiddo is who will be playing with the toy as well as any other surrounding kiddos who may be around while playing. I kept the people and the stretcher out because they were big enough that I was comfortable with my kids playing with them. Super easy to setup and play with and it was and still us a major hit in our playroom! We love cars / any transportation toys! ... show more
