Description

Magical word... Elite - this name is a monument. Probably, the most famous one is "Elite S". In around 1970, "Elite S" became very popular with the TV commercial. "Happa Fumi Fumi"... this marvelous word is it. Of course, function based on the concept is wonderful. "Elite 95s" is inherited the gene. Features - "make sense" The most common feature is the length. Almost all, this series are short. The length is controllable - this thought is very reasonable. When you don't use, it is pocketable. For this purpose, this pen adapt "spigot joint" mechanism. Not need to turn, also not sound. And the shape is excellent. Especially the streamline shape of nib is very cool. This beautiful streamline - it's like the future vehicle. This black body with gold accent remind limousine. Exclusive driver is you. Of course, the space you stop is problem. Please continue to run, run, run (When you write, length@is long...very, very). Nib 14K, streamline. Streamline shape is very beautiful. Of course, there is not only beauty but also usefulness. The moderate hardness can endure long time writing. And moderate softness tell characteristic repulsion. Good balance. Converter is sold separately. Suitable is "CON-20 " / products of PILOT.

  • All I can say is WOW
Style: Medium
1st, I love fountain pens and I am cheap. This is the most $$ I have paid for a pen. It is hands down the best writing pen I have. It's a medium point 14k nib. The nib is bouncy and responsive, it writes smooth as glass. It honestly makes my Pilot Vanishing point feel as though I am using a cat claw for a nib (bought a used one). The Elite is small, light and well made. The lid posts very nicely to the back giving a large surface to hold onto while writing. When posting and closing there is tension as closes......Its hard to explain its very smooth and designed to be that way. In other words there is no "click" as it closes just a smooth glide and a stop. I apologize for the bad descriptor. I am by no means a pro reviewer. Would I recommend this pen? ABSOLUTELY, this pen is my daily driver. I will be sad if anything happens to it. I bought the black and gold and it's so classy looking. Ok enough geeking out. Get the pen its great! ... show more

  • My favorite EDC pen.
Style: Medium
One of the things I rarely leave without is a pen. More often than not, it's THIS pen. It's beautiful, classic design, smooth writing, and pocket size make it just right. Currently filled with Lamy green ink but I often run purple. If you're into fountain pens, give this one a try. You won't be sorry. Pilot makes great pens with very smooth nibs even in the lower price range. ... show more

  • Excellent and very elegant pen. Essentially a classic of pen design.
Style: Medium
Excellent pen. Also beautiful. I have the M nib. Very smooth, easy posting. The line is a bit narrower than a Lamy M (steel). Good writer. If you hold the pen vertical the line goes to a medium fine width. Reversed it leaves a line that is a trifle narrower than my Pilot Posting nib - which is fine indeed. I am using Platinum Chou Kuro carbon ink which is very wet and very dark. The reverse writing might not be useful with a dry and or pale ink. I use this pen for noting numbers that I have to read without my reading glasses when making calls and for addressing mail. It is a very compact pen. ... show more

  • Wonderful pen at a great price.
Style: Medium
This is a wonderful pen that writes very well. It is a pocket sized pen when capped, but a full sized pen when posted. It is professional looking without being too much. I cannot say enough good things about this pen.

  • Fantastic entry gold nib, some tradeoffs vs. E95s
Style: Medium
Quick notes: > The description says the cap is aluminum, at least on the black model this is incorrect. There is some aluminum inside the cap for the capping material, but the cap itself appears to be the same resin as the main body. > Medium is a FAT medium when compared to most Japanese/Pilot nibs, but that's generally my preference and it also writes like a dream. > Remember you're essentially forfeiting your warranty with the manufacturer if you purchase the Elite and not the E95s. The factory warranty is only a year on that pen from Goulet anyway, and this is consistently half price... It's up to whether that's worth it or not. Appears "real" as far as I can tell, does not appear to be the South Korean version. I was initially thrown off by reading that the cap was supposed to be aluminum, but it appears that is a mistake in the description. I will update if I find out otherwise. The finish is a little glossy and therefore will smudge, but the pen overall is incredibly light and attractive, well-sized (and I have larger hands), and a well-behaved ink (I am currently using Robert Oster Blood Moon) it glides across any paper I have tried it on (Tomoe, Midori, Nebula, Rhodia, random mailer envelope) smoother than your grandfather's first Cadillac. ... show more

  • Gold Nib for a Great Price
Style: Medium
Gold nibs are known for their longevity and corrosion resistance; however, gold nibs can cost a pretty penny. For the price I got this pen, it's a terrific price point for a gold nib. The medium borders on a broad nib, so I would recommend going a size down. The pen looks luxurious, is lightweight, and is a pleasure to write with. Very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more

  • Woefully overpriced
Style: Medium
The nib flexes and it broke while I was writing, the ink cartridges hardly last long at all, and the writing experience is clunky and unweildy. "Frustrating" is the best word to describe it. This is not only the worst pen I've ever had, this is the worst product I've ever bought. I wonder how can this weak piece of plastic be priced at $100. I feel dumb for buying this! ... show more

  • Medium 14K nib writes medium
Style: Medium
This is a high quality fountain pen. It is very light and delicate so you have to be careful not to let it fall. Writes perfect. Be aware that the Medium nib writes Medium. It is NOT like the general saying about Japanese nibs that a Japanese Medium is a Western Fine. This is a 14K hold nib. If you habe small hand wtiting the Fine nib is better. The cap action is sweet. Great pen. ... show more
