Once you understand that a clarifying shampoo is supposed to be used differently than your regular shampoo, that's when it really works for you. With a clarifying shampoo like this, you need to rinse at least 2-3 times to actually get the full effect. The first time you shampoo, you shouldn't get a lot of suds at all. That's because of the buildup in your hair. Now go in with the shampoo a second time and you'll notice it suds up almost right away. That's because it is working. Now, if you are someone who uses A LOT of hair products (hair sprays, styling gels, etc.) then you will need to go back in with the shampoo a third time to make sure everything is cleaned off. If you don't use a lot of products, 2 rinses should be enough. And make sure to only use the clarifying shampoo 1-2 TIMES A MONTH. If you dye your hair, using it more than 2 times a month will fade your color faster. I use a really lightweight shampoo to clean my hair so look for no silicones or sulfates in your daily shampoo and that should help keep your oily problems under control. Hope this helps!

The media could not be loaded. I always had an issue with my roots... tried so many shampoos but nothing would get rid of the oily feeling on my roots. Happy to say I found the shampoo that works! I read multiple review saying it doesn’t lather... don’t know why they’re say that but every time I use this shampoo IT DOES lather very rich and full... I have long blonde hair and wash my hair every 2-3 days. Because I go a couple days between washings I like for my hair to feel really clean when I do wash it and with this shampoo you can feel it washing out all the dry shampoo, grease & sweat ...feels really clean. I follow up with redken all soft heavy conditioner & it’s a 10 detangle spray to brush it out... My hair feels great afterwards

My girlfriend has oily hair - she washes every other day and it's really easy to tell if that was today or not.. She's been using this for 3 weeks now and has gone to washing every 3 days with much better hair in between. It also hasn't dried out her scalp. Highly recommended!

Paul Mitchell shampoo two is GREAT for the oily hair folks that get oily again within 24 hours. Non stripping - it cleans but does not leave the hair parched. For anyone who likes a good cleansing shampoo but if you have normal hair use a light weight conditioner and if you have chemical treated hair you will want to use your heavy weight conditioner. Does not have a perfume smell, just a clean light smell.

My hair gets greasy quickly. Its also on the thin side. Ive been using tea tree shampoo for years. Suddenly it seemed to stop working as well? I decided to switch it up? I bought 2 new shampoos. Paul Mitchell's shampoo two, and Neutrogena's clarifying. This seemed to do the trick! I alternate these two shampoos off and on through out the week and my hair is back to being squeeky clean again. Thats what worked for my thin and oily hair? If you arent struggling with hair that is as problematic as mine? Then just purchase the Paul Mitchell's shampoo two. I am so impressed by this formulation? Im also impressed with the price & value. I just wish I had found it sooner?!

I was advised by my hairdresser to get a clarifying shampoo because of the waxy buildup I had in my hair. She advised I try Paul Mitchell Clarifying Shampoo. After researching the shampoo, apparently there are two types of this from Paul Mitchell. I got the Clarifying Two Shampoo. It's for removing styling product build-up. I thought I'dgive that a shot.. She said to use it for a month. Well, I have. What difference it made for my hair!! My hair was so bad, it moved in a clump like fashion. Now, it's not oily, and, it shimmers and shines and the strands flow freely, no more clumps! My daughter even swears by it. She has, thick, Latina hair, and this works wonders for her hair! She has a hard time finding a shampoo that cleans her very thick and fine hair. She had residue build-up too, not anymore!! We are sold on this shampoo!! Try it, it does take about a month to see the difference, it's not instant. But, it really works!
