We bought two of these for our 14- and 11-year-old daughters for Christmas, and they’ve turned into one of their favorite gifts. I will say the learning curve was a little steeper than we expected. The first few sessions resulted in some bumps and bruises while they figured out balance and control. Definitely recommend helmets and protective gear, especially in the beginning. That said, after about a month of consistent practice, they became naturals. Now they’re confidently riding around the yard and neighborhood and absolutely flying on them. It’s been great to see their confidence grow as their skill improved. They’re fantastic for recreational riding, and we’ve also appreciated how customizable they are — it’s easy to personalize them and make them their own. Freaking perfect. I crashed my car and got this for work commute and now I just use it for anything and everything local. The thing gets up to 20+ mile range, more than labled and I live three miles from work and this thing can get me there and back for three days before it needs a recharge. I live on flat land though, with easy weather. And it charges fast. 4 hours tops from 10% battery. Awesome app. Smart watch used as a speedometer. The thing can take a beating like no other and functions like nothing happened lol. Only thing, if you've never done any sort of board sport, this thing can be a pretty big learning curve. But the self balance helps tremendously. Safety Note: WEAR PADS!! I didn't and i learned why you should lmao! There are no handlebars, no safety nets. In fact, it does the exact opposite, you push it too far and it will literally launch you of off itself lol. That aside, there's no other experience like it. I find myself just riding through neighborhoods I've never been in, finding streets with beautiful views I've never been down because I've never had reason. And its all terrain. I'm in an AZ desert with rough roads, smooth roads, very rough roads, dirt roads, gravel and sand, with the occasional rain and it handles everything (you really want a fender attachment for rain). For the average user, this thing will outperform your comfort levels before you ever get bored with it. ... show more

Very happy with it after the first few days of riding 20 miles. Super easy to learn and ride. Probably only took about 20-30 minutes to learn enough to take my first real ride. The ride is very smooth and it takes bumps very well.
