Got there for casual walking/hiking on gravel trails. Enjoying these stylish boots during winter hikes in cold and wet climate. Fit: Runs about 1/2 size large. I usually wear an 8.5 and ordered a size 9. Slightly loose but good. Just need to snugly lace them up and they are perfect. Function: Good water proofing and kept my feet warm and dry Took 2 hikes, one dry day and another in the rain. Traction was amazing and felt confident in all terrains. First thing I noticed is these boots are lighter compared to others like Merrell or Timberland. After a long hike, my ankles are not fatiqued. My only complaint is that the boots have a strong rubber smell out of the box. Aired it out for 2 weeks and it's gone now.

Another incredible boot offering from Nortiv 8. They’re tough, well made, comfortable, waterproof, lightweight, and designed well. All around a great boot choice. I’m happy to recommend these with 5 stars. A few notes: Sizing: I find these boots are close to true to size. I typically wear a 11 or 11.5 in most hiking boots and the size 11 fit me great. I even have a little room for thicker socks. So, I would recommend sizing down a half size, as they run just a little on the large side. Build and function: these perform great. I took them on a long hike, as well as tested them around town and even wore them to a few work calls. The longest I wore them was for 16 hours straight. I’m happy to report they were comfortable in a variety of situations. They feel nice and solid. Easy to wear. Color and design: I like the green color - goes with jeans, hiking shorts, and I can even get away with travel khakis or nicer pants in casual settings. The color goes with brown, black, khaki, etc. So, I like the flexibility to wear these boots in a variety of situations (again, hiking, around town, and even to work). Tread: I’ve worn these a little in the snow and they grip well. I don’t find myself slipping around. On dirt they do great, too. I wouldn’t hesitate to take these on a long backpacking trip. Waterproof: this is where I’ve tested these a little less. I haven’t really tried to soak these yet. But so far, in wet snow, they don’t get swampy and wet at all. I believe that they are fairly waterproof. Lightweight: while these are light for hiking boots, I wouldn’t describe these as ultralight. They are just hiking boots that are on the lighter side. IF you need ultralight running or trail shoes, these aren’t right. These are definitely hiking boots. For the money, I think these are a terrific value. They feel great. They look great. I can wear them in a variety of scenarios. They perform well on the trail or around town. I’m happy. This is a great choice if you are looking for a reliable, well built hiking shoe but don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars.

The NORTIV8 waterproof hiking boots are lightweight, waterproof, shed mud and clean up easily. I tried these new boots in a rain-forest for half a day while we were helping to clean up palm fronds and coconuts. My feet were dry even though it was raining and muddy most of the day. The boots have an aggressive tread on slippery leaves and branches. So, they would work well on trails where it is necessary to navigate over slippery rocks or through saturated soils. The boots are amazingly comfortable right out of the box. There is truly little need to break them in to prepare for a hiking trip. The boots are waterproof and sealed well in important places, like where the boot and tread join. The nylon-like skin sheds mud and dirt and makes the boot flexible and lightweight for all day use. This is the third pair of Nortiv8 boots we have acquired. Every one of these boots seems to be made with the same high-quality materials and care. We are not as agile physically as we used to be when we were younger. But these boots sell for less than we paid for Italian made hiking boots years ago. The quality of the materials and waterproofing have improved over our old boots too. I purchased the boots half size larger than my shoe size in case it was necessary to use heavy socks. However, this may not be advisable in tropical climates since heavy socks are unnecessary. In hindsight, it might have been a better move to get the exact same size as my shoes. It will be interesting to see how the boots perform on a rough surface in Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park The lava trails are hard on footwear of any type. So, the boots may not last as long if used in the park on a regular basis. After acquiring three different types of Nortiv8 boots, we can say unequivocally that this brand is synonymous with quality products. We would not hesitate to purchase the Nortiv8 brand of boots in the future for cold or warm climates.

These hiking boots fit well, I am a size 15 and it fts true to size. The quality is good, and they are definitely durable. I noticed they didn't scuff too easily and they weren't overly heavy. My main complaint is that I found them a little uncomfortable over time and they are waterproof so they have ZERO breathability. I think this would make a nice winter or fall hiking boot but not in the summer, your feet will be on fire. Overall, considering the affordability of this item and the quality, I feel like it is a good value and I can confidently recommend it.
