– Fair price for 8 place flatware set without breaking the bank. Much nicer and heavier than I was expecting. Good design/shape, and balance, feels comfortable in the hand. – Very shiney mirrored finish; box states stainless steel and food grade metal. Very similar pattern to decades old flatware set it’s replacing. Hoping not to experience rust development mentioned in a couple reviews. – Will see how well it holds up based on a couple reviews. The pieces are a bit shorter than my old set which is a good thing. The weight is about the same. There were a few nicks on side of 2 of the forks where the tines met the handle--really small and insignificant. The spoons were the same size as my current set. The knives were the same as my old set except the handle on the new set was about 1/2-inch shorter. I needed a new set because over the years I had since lost 1 salad fork and 1 knife. From the picture you can see the size difference. My old set has decorative edging on the handle. You can see the difference in size of the dinner fork. Because the current dinner fork was huge, we used the salad forks for our meals. I haven't washed or used the new set yet, so not sure about rusting. I always hand wash my dishes and will update I see rust. The tines are on the fork (new set) do not have "sharp" edges. They are really well polished and I am really impressed --so far. I think I paid more for my old set (4-piece setting) versus this 8-piece setting. A really good buy if it lasts and doesn't rust. ... show more
