Description

NGK Standard Spark Plug is manufactured to enhance the performance of the vehicle. It is constructed from durable material that is corrosion and abrasion resistant. The spark plug insulators are made of 99 percent pure alumina silicate, allowing for longer insulator noses for reduced fouling. This spark plug features a triple gasket sealing process that eliminates fuel leakage. It also includes a solid copper core that provides superior heat dissipation and conductivity. This spark plug has resistor that is produced with a glass and carbon mixture, which is fired to ensure superior performance and durability. It has corrugated ribs that prevent flashover and cold rolled threads to inhibit damage to the cylinder head.

Can I love a spark plug? I do not know. Did they make my daughter's car run better? *YES*. I did not realize we put Autolite spark plugs in few years ago and one stuck causing the car to throw P0302, so I knew it was the second cylinder, but WHAT was causing it at first glance was not as easy to figure out right off. I assumed the issue was bigger and we bought engine coils along with these spark plugs. These pre gapped plugs were easy to install in my daughter's 2000 Lexus ES300 (with a variable valve timing engine). Her engine has 245K + miles on it. As stated ... we purchased these because my daughter's car had a P0302 engine code, which can be spark plug, engine coil , or wiring (to start). I swapped the #2 coil with the #4 and we got P0300 and P0302 still. I guess I still figured it must be the coil. We replaced the coils (actually, I taught my 20 year old daughter how replace the coils) but the idle was still rough and the code was still faulting at P0302. Turns out, in the end her spark plug in #2 was seized, and once replaced with this NGK, her car runs fine now. We still replaced all 3 engine coils in the top half of the block and all 3 spark plugs since we were at it. As far as value ... local parts store wanted way more and all they carried was Autolite, which I do not care for. My daughter's car runs smooth with these new plus (and coils) no problems and no more engine codes. ... show more

These plugs fit in a 3/8 drive socket. The originals were of 13/16th, not that it matters...just wanted to inform people they may need to out and get a 13/16th socket. You'll need to gap these though. All 4 plugs were drastically different gaps.
