Absolutely love this coffee maker! There is a noticeable difference in the quality of this coffee and a standard drip maker or a Keurig, even when using just our everyday coffee (we like Community Coffee dark roast). There are just two of us in the house and it's nice to be able to make a small pot in the morning (enough for us to both have two cups) and I love that it's easy to make an excellent single cup that is so much better than a Keurig. I have also used it for hot tea (I did adjust for their recommended amount the second time) and I'm looking forward to making cold brew next Summer. 1 thing I will note is that the buttons around the dial are extremely sensitive and it's easy to accidentally touch one while you are adjusting time or brew settings. I read another review talking about setting a delay brew and that's what came to mind is that it would be very easy to hit descale accidentally. I would recommend setting the delay time before putting the grounds in. (I have ours start the same time every morning so once the time is set you just have to hit delay brew, it remembers the time). ... show more

    • Coffee Maker Leaks after a few months, customer service is not the best

The Coffee Maker is pretty good overall. I like the ease of use an the coffee maker works well, BUT, the Coffee Maker after about 3-4 months started leaking out of the bottom when the reservoir is past half way full. I reached out to Mr. Coffee, They responded pretty quickly with the initial response, after that responses took about a week each time. Essentially I had to jump through hoops provide a bunch of pictures to prove it was still in warranty, and provide proof of purchase, not too bad. Then they responded yes it is in Warranty, please send us the unit. No replacement unit sent to me, just send them my unit, live without coffee or (get another coffee maker) for however long it takes them to do something. The last response from them to clarify that took 10 days. So overall Customer service does respond but does not seem to care about communicating quickly or about you having to make do while you wait for them to address the issues with their defective product. ... show more

    • RIDICULOUS WARRANTY CLAIM REQUIREMENTS
Update, reached a great customer service rep this time and she made my warranty claim easy. I received the replacement very quickly and everything is working fine. I love the versatility and the way the coffee/tea maker works. MACHINE WORKED WELL FOR ALMOST A YEAR WHEN IT FAILED TO RELEASE BREWED TEA. TRIED TO SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM ONLINE ONLY TO FIND RIDICULOUS WARRANTY CLAIM REQUIREMENTS. WARRANTY FORM CAN NOT BE COMPLETED AS REQUIRRED INFORMATION FROM UNIT IS REJECTED BY REQUIRRED FIELDS THAT MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE FORM CAN BE SUBMITTED. i WILL TRY CALLING MR COFFEE BUT HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WHEN I CONTACTED THEM WITH A BREWING ISSUE WHEN I FIRST GOT THE UNIT.     • Good coffee if your machine works
Bought on sale for $199 and really enjoyed both the cold brew and hot coffee options. The dial is pretty easy to use for your selections. However, I received a pot that leaks from the rim and handle. When I tried to exchange the machine for another, I was told I couldn't. I had to return and buy again at full price. Customer support tried to offer a 12 cup pot for replacement (note this machine only holds 8 cups) that looked like something at a cheap diner. Who would pay this kind of money for a sleek quality machine to have a non matching pot which honestly wouldn't have even worked with the design and shape of the machine to begin with?? I'm hesitant to purchase again because I don't want to deal with a defective product especially since it's not worth the full price amount. How does it make sense to return for a full refund rather than let me exchange for the same price? Other cons with the machine are that is doesn't keep the pot warm once brewed for refills. I personally enjoy the ease and no mess option of paper filters cause I can just discard. This one I have to clean for each cup since others in the house may have their coffee 30 mins later and it wouldn't be hot or fresh. ... show more

Brewer great! Best ever! Loved it, until you break the 8 cup glass carafe. It’s a mystery but you cannot buy a replacement anywhere. Cannot be found. Even Amazon does not carry it. So it basically sits idle waiting For us to switch universes again to one with a replacement carafe. Any 4, 5, 10,12 cup is good to go but not an 8: so if your wife or kids have no balance or like to launch things, go another route. Great and aesthetic coffee/tea maker. It’s annoying that you can only make like 16 oz or less or a whole carafe. There’s no in between setting so when I make coffee for me and my husband I have to double brew unless we want to waste part of a whole carafe. I love this coffee/tea maker! It makes great coffee, hot or cold, and the tea options are fantastic. Plus, instead of having my old bulky coffee maker and an electric hot water kettle taking up all that counter space - now I have this sleek beverage maker on my counter.
