Style: FIB01 Reticle

Features

  • Mid power variable optic MPVO from 3-15x magnification and a wider 44mm objective lens allowing for more light transmission and a wider field of view
  • Features a fiber optic reticle with a fiber optic tube that runs along the back of the crosshair to channel light from an LED light source to the center of the reticle. This allows it to generate a daylight bright center dot many times brighter than those found in more commonly used etched or wire illuminated reticle systems.
  • Includes a side focus parallax adjustment dial - that allows for sharper focus of the target image, elimination of parallax, and range estimation
  • Available in multiple newly designed second focal plane options: FIB01, FIB02 and FIB03 reticle. Second focal plane reticles remain the same size at all magnification levels for high visibility at all magnifications.
  • Scope comes in a 30mm tube configuration and includes a Monstrum one piece cantilever scope mount. Also comes with a set of bikini lens covers.

  • Can't Believe How Much $$$ I Saved Buying This Scope Over A Similar Same Spec Scope!
Style: FIB01 Reticle
I had purchased a 22LR bolt rifle and a 22WMR bolt rifle and didn't like the scopes that came with them and wanted to replace them. I saw a gentleman on YouTube comparing this scope with a $1000 Leupold VX-HD5 scope with similar specs on a higher caliber rifle and I liked what I saw. My purposes for these 22 caliber rifles will be shooting at targets less than 75 yards out and since I will be in not very well lit areas I wanted an illuminated reticle with variable brightness settings. This scope checked off all my requirements and I got it on sale for under $100. I got the model with the FIB01 reticle and really like the smaller fiber optic red dot over the entire reticle illuminated. The Pros: The glass is clear and the eye relief is great. Playing around with the tracking after zeroing the scope using the box method, I went 5 clicks left then 5 clicks up, center dot on the bullseye then shoot. 10 clicks right then shoot with center dot on the bullseye. 10 clicks down then shoot with the center dot on the bullseye. 10 clicks left then shoot with the reticle on the bullseye. 5 clicks up and 5 clicks to the right shoot with the reticle on the bullseye. I got two shots on the bullseye and four shots in four corners outside the bullseye making almost a perfect square. I don't ever remember buying illuminated scopes at what I paid for two of these and getting so much value for the money. The parallax focus, diopter adjustment focus, turret adjustments, the small daylight bright fiber optic illuminated red dot is just the right size, (and doesn't cover up the target like a lot of red dot scopes do), and the clarity of the glass with no chromatic aberration and it's sharp focus out to the edge of the scope picture, makes this scope a winner well above it's price point. The Cons: Like most of today's variable optic scopes with the scope tubes being 30mm+ in size, they weigh more and are bigger than your dad's and granddad's scopes. This scope isn't any bigger, longer, or heavier than most other newer scopes out there with the same whistles and bells. The $800 and up scopes may shave off several ounces here and there but not by much more. These scopes came in right under 30 ounces. You can buy similar spec scopes weighing in at the 22-25 ounce range at costs of $700+ more than what this scope costs. For me, I like holdovers on scope reticles, which all of my first focal plane scopes have on them, for shots over 250+ yards. This reticle doesn't have holdovers so you are going to need to know your specific ammo drop at longer range targets, those over 250+ yards, for good POI on your target. Overall thoughts: Really happy with these scopes for what I am using them for. I liked this scope so much I decided to make a purchase of the Monstrum Beast 3-18x50 FFP scope when it went on sale and I enjoy everything about that scope as well. ... show more

  • Perfect budget sfp optic!
Style: FIB01 Reticle
This met all my expectations when purchasing this optic. If you are looking for a great inexpensive hunting optic I would definitely recommend. The glass is great for the price point. It has huge turrets for easy adjustment and tactile clicks. East to reset to zero of you are going to dial with it. Seems to be accurate when dialing and comes back to zero so far. It is being used on a coyote rifle and is holding up great also has about 4 inch eye relief ... show more

  • And excellent scope for the price, you won't be let down
Style: FIB01 Reticle
It may seem strange to give a an inexpensive scope like this a four-star review, but this scope has amazing glass in it. It has almost zero chromatic aberration, much less than a $900 Zeiss that I have on another gun. The controls on the scope are easy to adjust, the focus mechanism works really well, and the only drawback to the scope is that the reticle is too thick. If this had a thinner reticle it would easily be a five-star scope. I still am amazed at the quality of the glass and the clarity. This punches way above the price tag. I've got literally a couple of dozen scopes on various guns including high-end Leupolds Zeiss, Vortex, and Athlon and Burris. If somebody looked through the scope and you didn't tell him how much it cost they wouldn't be guessing it is in it as inexpensive as it is. If you can tolerate the radical which I can, the scope is an excellent value for the money especially on hunting rifles where you don't need a tactical scope with all of the extra numbers. ... show more

  • Called a beast for a reason!
Style: FIB01 Reticle
It is in fact a beast! For the money, I would never buy another scope. If Monstrum would offer me a sponsorship, I'd take it in a heartbeat. This thing is tough, and still holding zero!

  • Scope....ish

Not worth it, doesn't hold zero. Save your money

  • It is a BEAST
Style: FIB01 Reticle
Great sight picture. It is a beast. It weights nearly 2 lbs with the mount. Each of the 3 shots I took raised an inch or two at 20 yards without any adjustment. First one 2 inches then the next two raised an inch each. It may be the gun (400 Legend) but I would expect touching shots that close. Update: 2 shots later did the same. 2nd shot was about an inch high. But the first was dead on. A third shot hit where the first one went. That proved it’s not the scope. Still 2 stars for the weight and no HD glass. ... show more

  • Ok glass with a pointless reticle
Style: FIB01 Reticle
This is a pretty generic scope. The height is fine with the included mount for a modern sporting rifle. The fiber reticle is bright in all lighting situations I've tested. Not super sure on the durability of the reticle as it has only been tested on .22lr and 5.56. It holds zero fine for those things which is fine. The part that makes this a poor value is it's difficulty to use at variable ranges. The reticle provides no holdovers or reference to either dial or hold. So if you have a fixed distance you always shoot at and it stays on the same gun and you shoot the same ammo.....you will eventually just learn the holdovers/adjustments. Unfortunately that won't help you learn MIL nor MOA. Reticle is only ok if you really yearn for that GTA3 nostalgia or something, not useful beyond that ... show more
