  • Excellent LVPO for 55.6 SPR that doesn't require batteries.
Style Name: CM8 Horseshoe + Chevron Reticle
This excellent LVPO from Monstrum is perfect for my needs of a high quality low cost alternative to some of the big names out there for a AR-15 SPR. It was packaged well and secure and arrived quickly, upon opening you get the sight, instructions, mount, scope covers, extra screws, extra battery, (comes with two, one is already installed.) allen key, and cleaning cloth. the sight and mount are full metal and feel very durable while keeping down on weight and "shiny"ness. it has decent eye relief, however the scope covers are both plastic but they are easily removable and spring loaded, I keep them on to stop the glass from getting any dirtier than it has to be. One standout feature is the ability to not only adjust the brightness but also turn off the sight in between brightness levels. (NOTE, this sight doesn't require batteries but they are optional if you need to illuminate the reticle) IE, level 1 then off level 2 then off and so on. it is almost a foot long so take note on the length of your specific rifle and needs. I bought the CM-8 reticle I believe, and it gives me clear markings for MOA both elevation and windage. I put 200 rounds of 55.6x45 NATO through my rifle with this scope and it holds zero well. The throw lever from 2X to 10X is a little unconventional but after getting the hang of it I quite like the low profile, as well as the markings of zoom level. A few things I did not like was the large white Monstrum logo on the side, it is very visible and not well suited for concealment, and the relatively long length of this compared to others. overall I would definitely purchase this again, although suitable for real steel fire arms I don't know if I would rely on this in the field just due to lack of testing on my part, although I feel this would hold up very well in the field. 11/10 would buy again! ... show more

  • Clear glass, lightweight, good for light recoil setups
Style Name: BDCB1 Drop Reticle
Goes great on a lightweight 22LR setup, very light, clear glass, cool reticle options, holds zero well and i love the turrets and illumination. It is a little hard to lineup with your eye at 10x but mounting it further back really helps, so its good it comes with offset rings. Its a keeper, very comparable to a cheap vortex optic ... show more

  • Well made and budget friendly
Style Name: BDCB1 Drop Reticle
Can’t wait to test this scope to see if it groups well. Glass and radical.seems very clear and functional. Over all this scope looks to be well made and at a reasonable price.

  • Good scope for the price
Style Name: BDCB1 Drop Reticle
This a well made scope and considering what you get with it very very good price. This is an illuminated optic with a one piece mount, flip up covers, extra screws and a extra battery for $100. I've only put 40 rounds thru my rifle after mounting (AR 5.56) intial zero and sighting had zero issues. My only concern is the windage adjustment turret is pretty stiff and it's a hard to hear and feel the clicks when adjusting, the elevation turret doesnt have this issue. The magnification ring is also pretty stiff but its not a deal breaker, the illumination is bright and clear, overall so far I'm pleased with this product, we will see how it holds up with use ... show more

  • Works good
Style Name: BDCB1 Drop Reticle
I have used a bunch of Monstrum mount and rings in the past, with good results. I had never tried their scopes. I've got five 17 caliber rifles. HMR, Winchester Super Mag, 17 Hornet, 17 Fireball, and 17 Remington.in my collection. Yea, I'm a 17 freak, at 78 years old you'd think I'd be set in my ways! But I digress. I purchased this scope to replace a questionable brand on my HMR. I figured 10 power should be plenty for the "pea shooter", and I'm pleasantly surprised. Clear optics. love that whacky reticle, and the adjustments are pretty precise. At this price range it's a "no brainer"! The only drawback I have found is the finish. It does scratch very easily. But since I'm planning on using it for varmints and not entering it in a beauty contest, who cares. Works good! ... show more

  • Give and take
Style Name: BDCB1 Drop Reticle
Very good scope 100 yards and in on my AR10 which is typical shooting distance in my hunting grounds. When I went to 150 though I was constantly chasing zero L & R and couldn’t get it dialed in for a hunting trip with a little more range. I think this would be a great option for a shorty AR15 but I’m looking for a more traditional scope now for my AR10. After one deer season both glass flip covers have broken off and are threaded on so removing them leaves bare threads which doesn’t look the best so the broken covers stay on. Overall a great value for $100 if you want a close range scope. I don’t regret buying it since I’ll put this on my SBR and figure out the cover stuff. ... show more

  • Perfect close quarters to open farm fields
Style Name: CM9 Chevron Reticle
This is an awesome LPVO scope. It is very clear and precise adjustment clicks when zeroing in. The illumination dial is very tight and that is a plus in my opinion because it won’t get turned on by accident and drain the battery. It’s great for any AR platform or hunting rifle, especially for hog hunting (with the wide range of zoom) when your shots can be from 20 feet to several hundred yards. ... show more

  • Not too bad (mounted on a 556 rifle)
Style Name: BDCB1 Drop Reticle
Mounted on a 556 rifle. Great positive knob adjustments. Build quality seems solid. I actually like the longer look to this optic, I know there are shorter ones, but this one seems to fit my build perfectly. I like the 1 on -1 off style illuminated reticle knob. Instead of ramping up the intensity it allows users to increase each setting with a shut off between each setting.. meaning instead of having to cycle through all the brightness settings you can hover between the off and the brightness setting that works for you. My optic came “nearly” zeroed, only had to adjust the elevation was all. Got it dialed in 3 shots at 25yards. Magnification/built in throw lever works well. I played with that a bit at the range. I also like the mount that came with this optic, it was low enough profile I don’t need a cheek riser. Time will tell with this optic, Monstrum has a few optics with lifetime warranties and this is one of them. Which at the very least means if something does go wrong, I can get it fixed.. so I like that as a type of protection with this optic. Some of their other optics have 1 year warranties so take that for what you will. With my range day and initial impressions on build quality, I’d say that at this point I can see myself buying another one of these scopes. ... show more
