I am heavily invested in Makita LXT tools, but needed a more compact light for a project I was working on. I recently bought a Milwaukee M12 electric ratchet so I already had the battery and being able to share batteries between the ratchet and light was a plus. The light output is solid. Lots of light from a small package and most importantly a good white light. It has a small enough footprint and it’s light enough to move and position really close to your work. I was able to snag it with my foot and drag it closer to me; something I never would have been able to do with my Makita. It has surprisingly good battery life and after almost 1 hour of working on my truck in high and low modes, the little M12 battery was still going strong so I haven’t hit the upper limit yet. Best of all, since I have to share my shop with the cars, all of my tools have to be on wheels or portable. This fits the bill. It closes up into a nice, small package for easy storage. This thing rocks and puts out a great deal of light. I use an 8ah battery that runs this light for hours and it's very well built. Way to go Milwaukee plus it's a hybrid so you can plug an extension cord into it as well.

    • Well, I’m a Milwaukee fanboy so maybe prejudice but I like it.
Looks pretty good working on a car, especially under the car when it is up ona lift. It uses up batteries quicker than expected, but I don’t have any of the higher power batteries…. Of course you can run it off an extension cord…. One small complaint… at this price point... It should have automatic on board recharging of the battery while plugged in. I’m satisfied with the brightness. I may buy a second one to help prevent shadows when working under a car on the lift. ... show more

Use this for lighting for detail work during plant outages. A great light for the cost... quite a value. Not as bright, as much light, or as tall as it’s big brother (the M18 version), but at 1/3 the cost, it is quite effective.

Really enjoy my new light. Is very portable , lightweight and can be stored occupying very little space. Is also very versatile as you can use battery or AC power. Light is more than adequate for most uses. Only cons is the high price, but for ocasional home DIY or frequent job site is perfect.
