It gives a smooth, natural matte finish and helps blur the look of my pores without feeling heavy on the skin. I really like this Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation and I’m giving it 4 stars. The shade Soft Tan matches my skin beautifully and gives a natural, smooth finish. It’s lightweight and feels comfortable on the skin without feeling heavy or cakey. I noticed that it helps minimize the look of pores and controls oil throughout the day, which is great for my combination skin. The coverage is buildable, so it’s easy to go from a light everyday look to more coverage where I need it. I’m not giving it 5 stars only because the wear time isn’t quite as long as some higher-end foundations I’ve tried, and it can fade a bit by the end of the day. I remember using this back when it first came out. I’ve been using the Clinique stay matte foundation for years and it was recently discontinued so I decided to try this one again. First thing is that it pulls slightly orange (I used shade 122 for my light cool-toned skin), but not enough that it’s super noticeable. I was surprised how good this looked on, it gave a very matte but natural finish with medium coverage. However, even with primer, concealer, setting powder and setting spray, it wears off after about 4 hours. I have acne and dark spots and after wearing this on several occasions for 4-8 hours all of the coverage disappeared. It is winter so it wasn’t even a problem of sweating it off. My skin is oily but when it wears off my skin still looks pretty matte, it just loses the coverage. I might retry once my skin clears up but for now this is not for me. ... show more
