I have bought several email gift cards from Amazon and have never experienced anything akin to what transpired with my orders for 2 gift cards to be emailed to me from Lyft. Despite ordering the e-gift card for instant delivery (within the hour ) to the email I had used previously for other Lyft orders and following Al necessary precautions when the gift card was no where to be found in by inbox including checking the spam and junk folders I was literally “STUCK” with no Lyft dollars and therefore had to cancel my plans to return home that evening as I had no other way to rectify the situation as delaying my ride request over a hour each time thinking that maybe just my email was slow to download...NOT THE CASE! I FINALLY learned the truth after the EXACT SAME SITUATION ICCIRRE WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO BUY A LYFT CARD THROIGH A BRICK AND MORTAR STORE (CVS). Once again I paid the retailer and the money I was told repeatedly by the staff at cvs and Amazon was sent on over to Lyft almost instantly once monies were debited from my Amazon uik funds are robbing me and others blind.... I go to the web site or store and pay cash or gift card value balance on Amazon s d order a card for Lyft. The money is moved from my wallet or Amazon balance to Lyft. Lyft never sends the email with gift card value nor do they on two other occasions populate my card with a deposit so when I spend a good 30 minutes trying to input the card numbers into the Lyft site it reassess they cannot read the card or card has no value. I am a single mom who had transportation other than Lyft and was relying upon them for so much I couldn't just stop using them and got stuck about every 4th time not getting any value for my Lyft purchase. The worst part about this is when I tried to call Lyft or contact them I could not speak to anyone anywhere. I even drove past a Lyft office once and tried to access a lobby or someone within the organization only to be rudely ignored and I still had no resolution. I caution anyone considering buying a Lyft gift card to avoid doing so if at all possible. Otherwise you can just burn money as it is all the same I have found when I spend money with a third party hoping to acquire a Lyft gift card.
