Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is moisture resistant and protects threads from leaks, rusting, and corrosion while eliminating the need to stock up on expensive lock nuts and washers. Fast and easy to use, this heavy duty, high- strength threadlocker sets in just 10 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours. Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 is a permanent solution for locking and sealing threaded fasteners and is only removable once cured by heating up parts to 500°F (260°C). The Henkel Loctite Threadlocker is an adhesive that permanently locks metal studs, bushings, and large fasteners against loosening from machine vibration. It also strengthens slip and light press fittings. This heavy-duty adhesive is designed for larger metal fasteners 3/8- to 1-inch (9.5 mm to 25 mm) in larger types of power equipment where secured fasteners are mandatory. Must have product for small screws and moving parts that you dont want to lose. Especially useful with firearms for installing sights and other items that need the small screws and what not retained. It is extremely useful and definitely worth the price. It is easy to apply with the dripper style tube. Does not take much especially of the red so this tube should last quite a bit for most people as I bought a tube years ago, use it quite often and still have some left that will last me a long while ... show more
