Note -- I purchased the contemporary version of LINENSPA Platform bed (full). This is a great frame. I am 200lbs and love to dive onto the bed to read or sleep, and it doesn't even creak or stress in anyway. It easily supports myself and my partner, totaling 300lbs together. It comes in a compact box that will have you guessing if it is big enough, but it turns out to be just right! The longer sides of the bed come folded up, and require no assembly. You will essentially just affix the long sides with the top and bottom, then insert the slats, and be ready to go. It comes with a nice tool to put in the screws, which I kept and put in my toolbox for future use. The metal frame and slats are so much better than you will find with other beds that have flimsy balsa wood cross beams. Those crack and bend and are not a very good long-lasting frame. This one is better. One tip -- once you affix the long and short sides of the bed together, it will be time to screw in the middle slat. This comes before inserting the other slats, which don't require screws. You might find that the middle slat is not long enough to fit into both sides snugly. But you need to put the screws in both sides and work them together to tighten up the frame. THEN the rest of the slats will fit snugly. All in all I am 100% satisfied and would recommend this to anybody ... show more

Just wanted to start by saying the assembly kit for this is SUPERB! It comes with clearly labeled and divided parts, the more difficult pieces are already pre-assembled and compact-able so it can easily be disassembled again, and most of all, the kit includes a MINI RATCHET. Flying cars, laser guns, and alien procreation are all dwarfed in comparison to this wonder. I never thought I’d live to see the day that civilization reached the point where a furniture company could include such an advanced tool with their assembly-kit’s at no additional cost to the consumer. Gone are the dark days of hex keys and Allan wrenches, we are now in the peak of human civilization. Enjoy it well it lasts, people. Sure, it’s no laser gun, but it gets the job done well, and honestly, is small and formidable enough that I’ll add it to my toolbox. Very sturdy, lightweight, and maneuverable, and looks stylish too! Lots of room for stuff underneath, my 60lb dog already ended up underneath it, as well as my 200lb 6’4” self. Highly recommend! ... show more

My 6 year old daughter had a very old day bed that broke, it had a plethora of problems that she made sure to tell me about daily. It was extremely creaky, the slats were falling out, the headboard hurt her head and there were sharp pieces of metal. So we looked together and found this, which albeit simple in design was exactly what she wanted. Whenit got delivered we carried it to her room (it's not super heavy but she asked for help so she wouldn't accidentally break it) looked at the instructions and made sure we had all the pieces. Everything was pretty straightforward. No missing pieces, no written step by step instructions but there's an easy diagram to follow, and we didn't have to go looking for any tools because it came with one! She did the majority of it herself, I just tightened some spots and made sure the slats were fully in. It was an extremely quick process. Afterwards she tested it out, and I'm happy to say that it's exactly what she wanted. It doesn't creak, there's no sharp edges, no headboard, and the slats couldn't fall out if they tried. I bought this for its looks and price...and I took a leap of faith in buying it based on some of the reviews. The product arrived promptly with no damage to the box. Instructions were simple, easy to follow and had all the tools you need - I would advise a hammer if you have one handy. *****NOTE: Putting it together was pretty simple until I got to the slats. As other advice, I'd put in all the other slats before attaching the center ones***** Initially, I thought the center slats were the WRONG size, but it helps tighten the rest of the slats. As long as you can get the screws to thread on there slightly on one side, move to the other side and try to get a few threads of the screws on there before you go HAM on tightening them all. I've only tested it for a few nights. No squeaks. If I had one qualm, the bed does shift around if you're leaning over and reaching for something, however...for the price I paid, I can deal with this. I think they tried to compensate this by putting adhesive on 5 of the 10 slats that should attach to the bed but I left the adhesives covered to not ruin the mattress. ... show more
