After reading some reviews I was concerned about purchasing this light. But since it is American made I decided to buy it. Couldn't be happier with it. Its bright and the sequence of light motions is very effective. Like anything if you man handle the light the USB tab will likely break, however, its sturdy and lasts for a 8+ hours on my rides.     • Lots of design flaws and delicate USB connector
Main complaints are how cheap and fragile the usb connector is. It is already chipping. It gets stuck in the light bracket as well and is difficult to do the quarter turn to activate it. Another annoying issues is that it continues to blink - basically anytime you're moving around, including when you start to charge it (quite bright and irritating if your trying to charge it on your laptop) for a good thirty seconds. I would not buy again. Update: this product broke: the usb insert (cheap circuit board) just snapped. Now it is totally useless. This product is cheap. Don't waste your money. ... show more

    • Fragile USB port
I really liked the brightness of the light, and that it automatically turned on. However, the USB port is very fragile and I it broke right before I was going for a ride! Needs a stronger USB port!!

    • Small and bright but easily lost when off
I purchased the Vya Taillight to replace the one I lost that was part of the Commuter Combo. Overall, I think it is a great light and wouldn't have ordered a replacement if it wasn't. I learned the hard way that the light is in no way secured when left in the mount in the off mode. The only time the light is secured is when it is inserted and rotated 90 degrees which also turns it on. Do not keep the light in its mount when turned off. That is the only reason I rated it 4/5 stars. If you decide to get this taillight, I recommend using a USB-A Male to Female cable for convenient charging. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I had to figure out the charging position in the USB port, but it is a high-quality product and very bright light. I only use on my Solo rides because the light is too bright for group rides. Several reviews here about the USB tab breaking off. I can see how some people have trouble with us if it is not fully inserted or they turn the wrong way. Charging; A possible design, flaw, but you can enter this into a USB port either direction for charging. It will not charge backwards when the two yellow lights are on only. Do you know it is correctly inserted if the main red light and the yellow lights are on at the same time. See photo. Battery life is past 5 hours (Never used longer than this) and the motion detector on/off is great so I don’t have another electronic I have to worry about turning on and off manually. ... show more
