Description

With a one-piece lightweight SLP graphite frame and sideplates with 3 drain ports, this Classic Pro Speed Spool is solid. High strength solid brass Speed Gears cut from Hamai CNC gear hobbing back that up. To make it smooth, a premium 4+1 bearing system and externally adjustable Magnetic Control System (MCS) bring it all together. Also featuring a 95mm bowed, anodized aluminum handle with paddle knobs and an aluminum 32mm large capacity spool to keep things light.

I got this reel in sale for $49.99. Used this reel for the first time this week, oiled the bearings and the line guide 1st before going out. The oil worked it's way in after about 5 casts or so and this reel is simply worth every penny for the price point. It far exceeded my expectations based on price point, and is holding 30lb Suffix 832 braid without issue. Casts smooth and FAR. It's a smaller profile, perfect for palming, and it's just smooth! Once you have it dialed in there's no backlashes at all unless you mess up badly. Dialing it in was very simple. You really don't have to mess with much at all afterwards. Solid construction, smooth long casts even with heavier braided line, smaller profile making it very comfortable in hand, overall far outweighs the other baitcast reels I've used in this price point. The reel came in a plastic clam package. It was ship in a box with no packaging to keep it from sliding around. In the descriptions for the right hand reel it shows pics of a left hand reel. In the description for the left hand reel it says right hand. To me very confusing. So instead of the left-handed reel that I wanted, I ended up with a right handed reel. This was disappointing. But with that being said. I love the quality of a Lews baitcaster. When this goes back on sale for $53 you better believe I will order it again and this time I will have my left hand reel. At this price it makes it the best value for your money. Just a real no-brainer. Love the feel of the crank Handel too. If I would have received the left hand reel I would had gave a 5 out of 5. ... show more

This reel is really nice. It was easy to adjust. My psychiatrist has to tighten up the nut on the handle as there were some bird nesting caused by failure to follow fundamentals. I love this reel for both fresh and brackish-salt water fishing (rinsed thoroughly after each use)! I’ve caught largemouth, smallmouth, speckled trout, flounder, redfish, and even a few catfish. It’s so lightweight you can cast it all day long, but with 15 lbs. of drag, I’ve never felt overpowered. I use this reel with a variety of rods from medium light to medium heavy.     • Great bass and crappie reel
Ive been using this reel with a medium light Abu Garcia rod all this season for around 4 months and it is definitely a keeper. It's just as smooth as it was when I pulled it out of the box.it handles 20lb braided line flawlessly and it doesn't backlash or bird nest as long as you have the slightest experience with a bait caster reel. This is my go to no matter where im fishing or what im fishing for except for catfishing then I bust out the Lews lazer series or the ambassador or my penn. Definitely something you wont be disappointed with if your thinking about maybe buying one just do it, and i guarantee you won't regret it. ... show more
