This plane, and frankly any of the other similar versions of the same (whether it be from Leambe/Volantex/Rage RC), all perform exceptionally well for their size. They can take a bit of wind, the stabilization handles exceptionally well, and boy can they take a beating. I now own two, this model and the Corsair from Rage RC. Both fly about the same, can't tell much of a difference. This one can fly marginally slower than the corsair due to the wing structure. As for the abuse, I flew this one at about 2/3 throttle into a goal post trying to be fancy. It connected with the inner leading edge of the right wing, prop flew off, plane spiraled about 20 feet away.. slapped the prop back on and away it flew. Both this and the Corsair have taken enough abuse that eventually the wing assembly began to separate from the fusealage. In both cases, I took a hobby knife to them, made a clean cut along the seam, and using Foam-Tac glue, I tacked both wing assembles back on and they both continue to be a joy to fly. What's great about these little planes, is you don't really need much space to fly. Once you've developed your skills enough, they can be flown in a pretty small space. Of course, having more room is more enjoyable, but not necessary. To try and simulate a test on how much load the wings can bear, I took my corsair into a vertical nose dive from ~100 feet up, at full throttle, and pulled out of the dive at about 20 feet off the ground. Zero issues. I love these little planes. Two of my buddies have since purchased a similar version (from Leambe i think?) and they both love em. I've since started getting into larger planes (my first being the Carbon Cub S2) which is also a lot of fun to fly, but in a way, I think I like these little ones better simply due to their versatility. Anyway, enough ranting. I hope this review helps. I know it would have helped me before buying, but if you're interested at all in trying out RC planes, for ~$100-$110 all in, these are incredibly fun, and boy howdy do they look good flying. If you do purchase, check out some of the 5-pack battery/multi-charger combos using the 400mah battery packs. If the connecter looks the same, they'll work, and will let you enjoy flying near continuously for an afternoon. Great starter planes, I hope this helps people make an informed decision. Just keep in mind, the other 400mm planes are all basically the exact same thing should you like another model better. good luck have fun ... show more

  • Reliable fun and easy to use!
Color: White
Great little airplane! I have been flying it for a week and have crashed a few times and it takes it like and champ. It can go fast so I recommend using it in a large field. I get amount 10-15 min per battery. Super easy to fly once you get the hang of it.

  • Nice toy for adults only
Color: White
Good value and quality for the money. I’m an adult beginner and assumed I would probably make mistakes and ruin it. Got it to fly which I considered a success but it flew away fast and I didn’t know how to control it and lost it!!! Still I expected there would be a disastrous learning curve and I plan to buy another one. Hopefully I will get more than one flight LOL. ... show more

  • Two planes Same remote. Buy them. Awesome fun.
Color: White
We love these planes. I bought two of these aircraft: two separate colors. One for my son and one for me! For his birthday you know what I mean? Never flown an RC plane before. The beginner setting was safe enough. We used this in a parking lot, no soft grass landings. The plane is just styrofoam, yet took a beating. The nose is all chewed up from straight down crashes. The front section split apart at a seam. The wheels broke from the styrofoam. Everything was glued back with crazy glue. Everything works fantastic. I'm thinking of adding some spray foam back to the nose to give it body. I kept flying it after it split and no problems. I'm quite amazed at the beating they keep taking. We also broke a ton of propellers in the parking lot. I bought several packets of more props. A thing to know about the controllers is, if you buy two or more, they seam to have a way to connect to the first aircraft that responds back. So if you buy two, and you turn them on near one another, one remote can end up controlling both planes. Just need to power off the remote and disconnect the battery a bit away from one another. This happens every time we go out to fly. No big deal though. We mostly fly now in intermediate mode and love it. The plane dances across the sky. We also crash much less now. Soon we hope to use expert more often but expert is definitely for experts. Love them, buy them. ... show more

  • For the price, hard to complain!
Color: White
This thing is awesome. Never flew before, super easy to fly when you have enough space. The aerobatic switch is awesome letting you doing barrel rolls and loops. Probably crashed 60+ times. Only broke 1 prop and lost another. Might need to buy the brushless next.

  • Super fun, just hard to plug in battery
Color: White
It was very fun to use, and I loved the XPilot assist. Although it was a little bit hard to plug in and input the battery after charging, the plane did great in 3-5 mph winds and 7-9 mph gusts. Overall, wonderful for its price and great quality.

  • It is TERRIBLE
Color: White
I give everything I get 5 stars but this is one star it just is terrible. I bought it two times and I lost it both times. It is also so bad that grass can cut it the propellers brake in one flight and the battery last one small flight.

  • Some are OK. Some fail for no reason.
Color: White
Returning my second plane which was a replacement for the first one that failed. This one the elevator quit working. Dead. Most likely the servo.. Have had 4 of these war birds They are great to fly but don't expect a long life with them. No crashes, just failed. Update 10-15 25: Returned faulty P51 Red Tail and ordered P51 Miss America. It looks like a toy compared to the other versions. Spitfire looks very realistic. This version only has paint where it is blue and red. The gray area in the illustration photos is unpainted ans is bare foam. If you want realism, this model is not the best choice. See picture. Hopefully it functions correctly for more than one flight. Will update after trying the plane. ... show more
