Best affordable all wood bed frame you can buy. I had the queen for 8 years, then upgraded to a king. highly recommended. It looks better if you stain and put 2 coats of polyurethane, I did that with the queen, but we left the king plain wood, still looks great. Wood comes pre sanded, super sturdy frame, great design! Center double beam runs down the middle, NICE. No stupid center leg needed for support ( for the queen, king came with a center support leg but I didnt use it, I have a spare mattress under the king frame) No creeks even when "active" in bed ;). Goes together easy with the included QUALITY hardware. I sold the queen frame for $150 and it looked brand new. Price is very reasonable for what you get. The design is key. Make sure to measure your mattress height as the pillows can slip between a little, The Charleston has vertical slats for the headboard, that the best design, but they didnt have in king : (

This is an outstanding bedframe. I needed a California King bedframe for a guest room. I wanted to make sure it was a sturdy frame that could easily support a hybrid mattress with two people sleeping. This entire frame is solid wood. It comes unfinished. I decided to stain the wood and put a couple of coats of polyurethane on it. The look of the bed came out great. Assembly was not difficult (note: follow the directions closely as you can flip pieces requiring you to do some rework). Once this was put together it exceeded my expectations. I have no concerns in the sturdiness or durability of this bedframe.

First, I am impressed with the customer service of the manufacturer: My use of the bed is relatively light, so it was a surprise to me, being well below the weight limit, that one day i heard a crack, checked under and sure enough one of the support boards had split lengthwise. After getting in touch with the manufacturer seeing that it was still under warranty and breaking despite relatively light use, they promptly responded, and sent the replacement part at no charge to me. There is another bed of this model in our household that is used daily and is still holding up well. I definitely appreciate the five year warranty, the excellence of the customer service, and the prompt delivery of the replacement part. The product itself is mostly decent, prior to the breakage I would have said it was extremely sturdy, however I still believe it to be a relatively sturdy bed, and that my case was a case of being a defect. I still feel confident that it will live up to my expectations over the coming years. I like how it is made out of unfinished wood that I can customize according to my needs in terms of staining it or painting it. I like the overall design of the bed, it was easy to put together by myself, the tools needed being included. The one thing I dislike about this particular design, is that the headrest does let pillows slip through the gaps of horizontal headboard slats, I'm sure there is a solution to that, but out of the box it is a problem, but not one unique to this bed, but pretty much any bed with horizontal headrest gaps could potentially have this problem. Overall, between the bed's design and the excellence of the customer service from the manufacturer when a problem did occur, I am satisfied with the product.

This is a winner! I saw this months ago but I had to look at everything out there & came back to this. It meets the criteria of 1. USA made as I like to support local business. 2. all Wood ( no cheap toxic fillers) 3. Sturdiness, the slats & construction will hold over 700 lbs. 4. Has the matching twin trundle, which I also ordered but haven’t put it together yet. This is going in a lake house & I wanted the flexibility of sleeping more people without being limited to twin beds or bunks. The queen size fit this room perfectly with plenty of room for the trundle to pull out. 5. The simple look which I think will be timeless, I was a little concerned about the wood color, but it blends perfect with my white oak floors(white wash stain) I’m going to leave it unfinished without stain or paint for now. 6. The value is unbeatable online, believe me, I researched like a mofo. 7. Easy to put together as per reviews, I will have to say it went like a breeze, everything was there, even a extra bolt! It took me & my husband about 45 minutes. All in all extremely pleased with this purchase on all points. The Tuft & Needle 10” mattress fit perfect on this bed. I put the Gorilla grip mattress thing for non slip but can’t comment on that because haven’t slept on the bed yet. Great Bed Frame! Thank you KD for making a honest sturdy bed that is beautiful!

It’s a good bed. The wood smell was very strong for about a month, but I liked it. I was disappointed to learn that it actually has a semi-floating fifth/sixth leg in the center of the bed. The beds I grew up on had four legs and you couldn’t dream of breaking them. A central leg would be absurd. They are built like a lookout tower and they don’t sway or sag or creak. You can push against them with all your might and without a care. They were just made to easily support human beings. They remain in my parents’ house, as sturdy as I remember them, and they will probably outlast me. I literally don’t know where you can buy a bed like that. From a carpenter, I guess. This isn’t that bed. It is much more robust than the typical square steel Amazon bed, but it’s flexible and definitely not invincible. The hardware is very basic, and is crudely mated to the wood which will make it looser with use. I could break the thing if I wanted to, and I worry that I will even though I don’t. Still pretty happy for the price. Stuff is made differently these days.
