The first thing I noticed was how lightweight they felt compared to many other leather work boots. They still have a solid, durable feel, but they don’t feel bulky or heavy on your feet. The full-grain leather upper feels very sturdy and clearly built. Out of the box, the leather was a bit stiff and needed some breaking in, but after a few wears it started to soften up and conform better to my feet. I’d definitely recommend wearing thicker socks at first, which makes the break-in period much more comfortable. These are soft-toe boots, which provide a light layer of protection without the extra weight of a steel toe—good for when and where you want protection but also flexibility, especially on slick or unpredictable surfaces. Overall, these boots offer a great balance of durability, safety features, and surprisingly light weight. Expect a short break-in period, but once the leather softens up they become a comfortable and reliable pair of work boots. ... show more

I like the feel of these boots. The tread is great. I live in northern Minnesota and so far these boots are perfect for my needs. Color is good and these boots are stitched well. Good grip in snow or on cement. I recommend.

If you have never tried Irish Setter work boots, you should definitely give them a try. Other pairs purchased have had steel toed shoes for working on heavy equipment. I got these soft toe work boots for my husband for less dangerous jobs and general wear. He finds them quite comfortable. He generally wears a size 10 but asked me to get a 10.5 because he likes to wear heavy socks with his boots. They were a perfect fit with socks. Since they are leather, he does like to spray them with some type of water proofing just to keep out moisture since it rains a lot here. Rain also makes or slippery surfaces, so the slip resistant soles are appreciated. The 6" height is great for ankle support without being too restricting. He's on his 3rd pair with 2 of them still in use. What else can you say? ... show more
