My husband is a 6'3, 220 lb weightlifter and I bought this for his satyr costume for an upcoming pagan festival. It's PERFECT for that kind of cosplay. The material feels very nice, and I can tell it will be easy to bend and shape and work with (note that it was NOT misshapen on arrival, I mean to shape it to my husband's body for a more custom fit). The only issue is that the shoulders are far too big...and the underarm straps are a bit small, especially if you have biceps. You'll need to expect this piece to be more of a draft than the final piece - you WILL have to modify this to fit. For XL or XXL body types, be prepared to LOVE these in the shoulder area...but do know you WILL have to either remove the arm straps and make your own (would look great with some tan or black elkhide rope!), extend the strap somehow, or try your hand at stretching it. All in all, this was NOT a piece of junk you find at Halloween City...you'll love it, but please know it's likely to need some work to be perfect for you. ... show more

The leather has some heft but the cheap rivets can't hold it. The strap popped right off mine the very first time i put it on.

They are good for what you pay for. The fit overall is decent, but they don’t move very well making them not the most comfortable. They come out of the package and have a normal pleather smell, that is a little off putting at first. I had to mold them a bit to make the fit better. Probably good for a few wears but not a long term product. The buckles are small and hard to thread the straps through, but again you get what you pay for.
