I downgraded my review to 3 stars because there is a huge difference between the various scents. I love the patchouli and the tea tree for instance. Also the bergamot and cypress. The vetiver Is Just ok. I'm VERY disappointed in the Jasmine. Now you'd think this would be one of the easier ones to make a faithful distillation of. Instead, it smells like candy mixed with cheap perfume. I MAY try the gardenia but now I'm scared. ... show more

My 1st Purchase of this Patchouli. So far, it ranks an 8 out of 10. One of the better "closer to the 1960s smell" I remember. Thinner than what I consider top quality, and lighter amber in color. For the price, it is worth another purchase in my future.

I don't like to post negative reviews, however they are as important as positive reviews. My go-to brand has been out of Patchouli for quite a while, so I finally tried this brand, after reading tons of reviews. I bought two, unfortunately, one to gift to an elderly neighbor who's husband passed a few years ago. Her husband used to wear a cologne with patchouli. This HIQILI Patchouli is, in my opinion, very low quality. It's rather thin and runny, and much paler in color than my usual brand. The odor is also much, much weaker. I had considered purchasing other oils from this company, as I do use a lot of essential oils, but I'm glad I'm only out two bottles, instead of the half dozen in varying scents I'd planned to order. I do not recommend this brand... or at least this particular essential oil. ... show more
