Heavy duty key rings with a nice, almost gun-metal appearance. Like all normal key rings they are a huge pain to get the key on initially but there is no risk of losing the key. The different sizes were very much appreciated to get the best fit for a key placed on my wallet and for my husband's massive key rings, the small one was perfect for replacing my dog's tag onto his collar. I ordered this set because I couldn't find the biggest one in the set sold separately for less by itself. So I have a few spares now, of varying sizes. I use the big one (1-3/8" diameter) for my everyday keychain; it has 12 keys on it including a fat Chevrolet key and a wireless entry remote attached with a much smaller ring. It's plenty sturdy enough for that job and I'm very pleased with it. My old ring had deformed to the point where keys were trying to escape by entering the "split ring" by themselves during handling, and I had a couple of close calls almost losing individual keys and my keyless entry remote. This new one has completely eliminated that worry; it's well designed against that happening. I would buy this again; no complaints. This may seem like an abstract review. However I needed these to fit in a small diameter orifice for an air compressor relief valve. It is hard on Amazon to get the diameter specification for the split rings sold. The diameter on these split rings vary with size so I was easily able to find the correct size ring. On the back of the package it clearly specified ring diameter with wire diameter in a very brief context. Don’t know why this is not listed in the description. I have so many keys it's not even funny. As opposed to carrying around one set of janitor keys, I decided to break up my several keys into different key rings. These fit perfectly what I needed. For my multiple keys from work, the large ring worked fine. Smaller rings for my home worked great as well. What is there to say about metal key rings? I purchased these so that as I add or remove keys, I have a key ring that is exactly the correct diameter so the ring will rotate over and around the wider portion of the keys, locking them together and keeping the keys under control in my pocket.
