I love these brushes! They are shockingly good for what I would consider inexpensive brushes. They are very soft and hold a ton of water. Each brush comes to a really nice point, so details are no problem. I bought these because I really needed a large mop brush. Since this set includes a bunch of larger brushes, I knew at least one of them would serve as the mob brush I was looking for - plus I would get a bunch of additional ones for a really good price. Rather than spend close to the same amount for a single mop brush, I bought the set and I am so glad I did! These are really good quality brushes and are extremely enjoyable to use. My go-to brushes are Escoda Chronos - but I didn't want to spend that level money on one of their really large brushes so I got these and I'm super pleased!

They hold water, and their shape! The tip is amazing for details without swapping brushes midstream. No shedding either! These have become my new watercolor paintbrush!! I’ve been painting about seven years or more these are the best and they didn’t break the bank! I’d buy them again and highly recommend them.

These are very nice, reasonably priced, brushes. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. So far, no shedding hairs. The bristles hold plenty of water, and hold a point as well. I take good care of them, washing after each use with GENERAL'S The Masters Brush Cleaner and Preserver, then finishing with a dab of human hair conditioner to reform the points. They come in a half height canvas sleeve with individual, graduated, pockets for the brushes. WooHoo for Grabie.

pros: --these Quill brushes hold a ton of water and swish around on the page beautifully for expressive watercolor painting --nice and short handles, yielding tons of control --the points are very nice and... well, pointy! cons: --the plastic body of the brush feels a little cheap considering the cost of the set -- sometimes the bristles splay out in an unsightly way, but this is easily fixed by swirling in water and rolling the brush... -- the wire on some of them is sharp and I had to fix that by taping over it

I got into watercolors and I realized that having a good brush is important. I got some cheap ones and they left hairs and wouldnt hold water, but these are perfect they hold water so well and stay shaped as well. The variety in sizes is also very nice

When I finally got back to painting a couple of years ago, I bought a variety of brushes, but not squirrel mops. Then recently, someone in an art group on social media mentioned how she enjoyed painting with these, so I thought I'd give them a try. What a difference! These very functional brushes hold a tremendous amount of water/paint and have not shed. The fatter handle felt weird at first, but as soon as I started painting, I never gave it another thought. This set is so easy to use, they'll likely be my first go-to. I haven't had them long enough to assess durability, but they seem to be well- made. Thanks, Grabie. I never used quill brushes before but wanted to try them. These seemed like a good price for all these brushes. I like that they hold a lot of water and have a good point. I haven't had any hair shedding or splaying. I'd definitely buy them again.
