I just received this yesterday for a trip on Saturday! With only 2 days to learn how to use it, I took some video and pictures of my house. Everything works great. I was nervous after reading all of the negative reviews of the app, so I decided not to use the app on this trip. I don't want anything getting ruined. We will just get extra SD cards and download them when we get home. I tested putting the card in a regular card reader and it worked just fine. I think the holiday promo is a good deal because you get one SD card and floating handle for free. I wish you could pack extra batteries for this device but we will just have to use it sparingly on our excursions.

Little in size, great photo and video quality. Good deal for this price. The handler is very functional and handy. Long battery life, Completely waterproof. Just having sometimes connection issues (lag) with my samsung note 4. The "Quick" app crashes when editing videos. Other than that, perfect.

Bought this bundle for my bf for Xmas. Got a good deal on Black Friday I believe. He loves it! He's slowly but surely getting all the extra attachments that are made for this go pro. Only he really dislikes the go pro editing software and I agree with him after watching him edit. It's not good software if you're trying to do anything precise. It's bare bones editing. iMovie would be better to use. I hate the fish eye lense on it cuz it makes me look extra fat but I just try to stay out of his videos from now on lol!

We have had a lot of fun with this camera. I've strapped it on my two toddlers to watch them play from a different perspective. We brought it to Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park to catch the action on the slides. Here is what i found: Pros: The quality of the videos is outstanding. 1080P videos that looks great on your big tv. Well constructed camera that had no problems being used heavily at the water park. My wife dropped this camera on a slide and it continued recording like a beast, catching her laughing the entire time. Very easy to use. Cons. Now you see I'm not giving it five stars, and here are the reasons why: This camera does not work in low light. Not a surprise. Most reviews mention this. No LCD screen makes it tough to see what you shot. Also not a surprise. And I didn't think it was a big deal at all. If you are looking for a portable, waterproof camera to shoot your outdoor adventures, I can't imagine you getting better value than the Hero Session kit for $220.

Excellent, SMALL, simple-to-use hi-def sports camera. Push button to start, push to stop. All setups can be done over a WiFi link to your smart phone (which also provides live video inspection until you start recording.) I chose the Session 4 over the Session 5 because I didn't need 4K video and the 4 uses standard Android micro charging cables (Session 5 uses USB C, and I don't have any of those cables.)

This was a gift from my wife. We went home to Hawaii and I wanted to get a camera to dive with. We used it to hike and dive with and the quality is amazing. I loved that it came with a handle that floated. The picture quality was great and once i figured out how to use it I was off and running. I would suggest getting some kind of case to hold the camera and all of its accessories though.

I bought this b/c the price was great. Never been one to record, but now I'm hooked. Love to record while I'm skiing! - I'm now in love with Go Pros & am definitely planning on purchasing the Hero 5 (For the 4k recording, gps, & speed tracking options.)

It's awful to buy one for your kid only to have SD CARD problems. We followed the directions perfectly, but it said "No SD CARD." We couldn't find any help in the manual regarding this so I visited [...] only to be forwarded to the GoPro store.?????? Finally, I figured out that I need to create an account so I did. The next problem that arises is that I chose a username, and though I wasn't finished, it stuck on one and told me I couldn't change it. Next I found the user manuals and printed off its teeny tiny words. It was no help. Then, I googled "gopro no sd card" for help. Some blog gave me the answers I was looking for and said that I had to format the SD CARD. The card was already inserted properly, etc. This is the card that came with the GoPro package; a big one and a small one. Interestingly, they both say "micro sd," but only the small one fits into the GoPro Session. I still do not know how to use the larger sd card. So, I have to format the SD CARD and I cannot do it through my computer and stores are not open on Christmas. I cannot believe that GoPro is this unclear about its product and user experience. Once I get this thing working, I am sure I will have something good to report, but right now I am disappointed. 12/28/16 Well I ordered a card reader that came today. I formatted the card twice; quick format then regular. It still reads "NO SD CARD" in the GoPro. If we can't figure this out soon, I'll be requesting a replacement or a return. 4/19/2017 So, I called GoPro and requested a return. They promptly provided it because it was under warranty. However, after I received the replacement in mid-January, it sat in my office untouched until I remembered to purchase an SD Card. Well, finally that day came a couple weeks ago and I inserted the card, but it didn't work. I formatted the card and it still did not work. I searched online for answers and was led to the GoPro website that gave me a list of proper SD Cards. So, I immediately ordered from the GoPro website. The SanDisk Extreme Micro SD arrived today and I inserted it into the GoPro that I just knew was going to work. BUT IT DIDN'T. So I formatted this new micro SD, but it still did not work. In conclusion, I had to purchase a micro SD formatting USB to format the original card that did not work, THEN a new GoPro stand from GoPro because I left the original stand on the GoPro when I returned it and the stand was not returned back to me, and then, two separate SD cards; one from Office Depot and one from the GoPro website. Nothing has worked. Zero Stars. I am calling the company. 3/5/2018 FINALLY!!!!!!!! The problem this whole time was that the SD card wasn't pushing in far enough. I just decided to push it further with my finger while pressing the buttons and it read the card. This is a manufacturing defect. The fix was to take a tiny piece of padding that would push the SD card in a bit further when you close the little door. My kids are finally having fun with it and running all over the house with the head attachment.
