  • Makes starting seeds a Breeze!
Size: 50 Count
We have used General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter for seed starting for the last 5 years, and are thoroughly impressed with the results. As a couple who enjoys gardening and experimenting with different methods of propagation, we find these rooting plugs to be a game-changer. The Rapid Rooter plugs are incredibly easy to use—simply moisten them before inserting your seeds, and you're good to go. I appreciate the consistency in size and texture of the plugs, which ensures uniform growth and development of seedlings. Additionally, the plugs provide excellent aeration and moisture retention, creating an optimal environment for root growth. What we love most about the Rapid Rooter is its reliability. We've had great success with germination rates, with the majority of our seeds sprouting within a few days of planting. The plugs also make transplanting a breeze, as the roots easily penetrate the material without causing any damage. Furthermore, we appreciate that these rooting plugs are suitable for a wide range of plant species, from herbs and vegetables to flowers and ornamentals. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, the General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter is a must-have for anyone looking to propagate plants efficiently and effectively. In conclusion, I highly recommend the General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter to fellow gardeners and plant enthusiasts. It's a reliable and cost-effective solution for seed starting that yields impressive results. ... show more

  • They Actually Work — Even for People Without a Green Thumb
Size: 50 Count
Pros: Very high success rate with cuttings and seedlings Pre-moistened and ready to use out of the bag Stays moist for days — no constant watering needed No mold issues (even in humid Florida!) Excellent quality and well-constructed Great for beginners — super easy to use Produces stronger, healthier plants Cons: Bag arrives a bit damp — might be a turn-off for some Moisture in the bag could be a concern if storing long-term They Actually Work — Even for People Without a Green Thumb Believe it or not, these Rapid Rooter starter plugs have completely changed my gardening game. I don’t even have a green thumb (yet!), and I’m still getting fantastic results with these. Whether it’s for cuttings or seedlings, these plugs are super easy to use, and I’ve had a much higher success rate than I ever expected. They come pre-moistened, which honestly is kind of a plus and a minus. It’s convenient, but it might catch you off guard when you first open the bag. That said — I’m in humid Florida, and I’ve had zero mold issues, which is impressive. The plugs stay moist, the quality is solid, and my plants seem stronger and healthier coming out of these. Total game changer for me. If you’re even thinking about propagating anything, this is a product you’ll be glad you tried. ... show more

  • Works Well, Occasional Algae Issue
Size: 50 Count
I use these to grow herbs in my hydroponic garden, and for the most part, they work great. Germination is usually strong, and they make transplanting easy. The only issue I’ve noticed is that occasionally one or two will develop some algae. It doesn’t happen on all of them, just the odd plug here and there. Overall, they still perform well, but it’s something to be aware of in a hydroponic setup. ... show more

  • Love these!
Size: 50 Count
These are great for small seedlings or tissue culture plants. I use them for tissue culture plants. They maintain moisture and provide support for the tiny plant. I soak them in water and rooting hormones before I add the tissue culture plant. I have had alot of success using these with getting my plants to grow roots and acclimating quickly. ... show more

I've bought 4 over the past couple of years and always has been quality product. I use these over rockwool and does exactly as I need. Small hole on top-middle to drop seeds into. I like the micronutrients included to help the seeds sprout then I can just place the whole thing into a net pot with pebbles and plants just take off! • Overpriced.
Size: 50 Count
These are just overpriced. They work OK, though you have to break them sometimes to for the sapling. I tried these with tissue cukture and it didn't go as well as using stratum.
