I had on similar to this and his name is Mr. Quackers. Well he was starting to fill up with water so we ordered this one. Shes a little smaller then my original one but still works. I was able to drill a hole in Mr. Quackers head and got the water out so we kept him. We bought the little duck temperature gage ( Baby Quackers) so now I have a little family of ducks in my pool. lol She works great, and lights up really cute after dark. Sadly Mr. Quackers doesn't light up anymore but hes a few years old and we live in AZ so I think his solar panel is just fried from our sun here. ... show more

Suggest you DO NOT BUY this product. The light up feature was dead forever within 2-3 days. Decided to let that go. However, I smelled strong chlorine odor in the entire pool area for no apparent reason. Then the pool guy started putting the tabs in my skimmers. When asked why he said the bottom of the duck had remained closed/stuck and therefore allowed no circulation. Amazon would not take return because I was past 30 days. I tried to contact the company and saw they only communicate by email. I have emailed twice with adequate time for responses but nothing. Obviously they don't want to hear complaints and don't plan to handle the problem. Very disappointing. Poor business. I hope Amazon discontinues selling this item before more people get stung. As a previous buyer stated, "If I could give this product zero stars I would." I agree. ... show more

This is such a great duck to put chlorine in the pool. My toddler loves to look out and see it glowing. She calls it duck duck and she loves going to look at him in the pool. I needed a new chlorinator and thought the light would look nice. From what I heard the light would probably not work and if it did it would not last long. It has been several months and the light still works. The one warning it gives is that it is not for large pools as it will not chlorinate it enough. So, I am still using my older chlorinator with it and may have to use two of these when my other chlorinator is no longer useable which should be very soon. One note is that it says to remove the protective film before using. It took me a little while before I realized there is no protective film to remove. ... show more

I consider this a fail, since the duck's head doesn't light up. Unless mine is defective, I'd not recommend buying this as at night the duck head doesn't light up at all and it just looks like a glowing yellow football is floating in the pool. After just a month of use, I have encountered multiple issues that render this product virtually unusable. Firstly, the color of the dispenser has started fading rapidly.
