I have used this product on flat decks, flat roofs with pooling water and pitched roofs since 2012. I've found it best when applied on a still serviceable rolled bitumen based roof. I use their liquid tape as well. My first experience with the product was on a flat deck roof that a professional roofer was doing for me. He advised this as the roof underneath was still solid but sand had worn off of some paper/tar was showing through. A coat of this made it look great and new and totally water proof. The stuff really sticks well holds up to intense New Mexico and Arizona sun and looks good. Very unique product as you don't need to tear off your old roof and you don't need permits. My latest job is my house in Arizona where I plan to metal roof it in 3-5 years but I needed to protect the house for now. Plan on it sticking to any clothing you wear etc and never coming off. I've got it on pairs of pants that have been washed dozens of times...stuff keeps sticking. As mentioned elsewhere be very careful NOT to get it on the bottom of your shoes or walk across a wet roof. Once on the soles of your shoes it remains wet for a while and...slippery. For hand clean up I've found Dawn full strength rubbed into the skin and then wiped off with a rag is the best bet. ... show more

Great product. Dries pretty fast with good adhesion to camper top was able to put two coats on in one afternoon. Well worth the money.

just finished my flat roof and can see this silicon is much stronger than the elastomeric. the only problem is the fumes on a calm day can overwhelm ...wear gloves and protect the skin and contol exposure make sure to mix new can by pooring it back and forth into an empty can 10 times also use a 3/4 9inch roller that you store in the near empty can with your stiff 4 inch paint brush ... show more

Got this as a weekend project to steal off a roof area seems to be leaking. Applied two layers on a nice sunny day. Recently had some heavy rain and the product works well. No more leaky roof.

I have been using Gaco Roof for years. I use it to coat RV roofs. I have done two that originally had some not so obvious leaks and they are leak free now. One of the former leaking RVs has a metal seamed roof, one a commonly used rubber membrane product. The rubber roof had been "repaired" numerous times with many other products. I scraped and pried off a full five gallon pail full of old repair goo. After more than four years, hail storms and the blazing sun in the west Texas desert it is still leak free and appears as new. I will buy and apply to everything I have and apply to the RV roof for anyone I meet who wants a life time RV roof. After application, stay off this product when wetted with water. Great roof patch, This stuff really works hundred percent silicone it’s expensive but it’s more than a temporary patch if you put it on right it could last years prolong a roof repair that cost a small fortune
