This is my holy grail mascara! I’ve tried lots of other brands and I was left disappointed because of how much I spent on them just for them to not work on me. This Essence one is only about $5, but it works way better than a lot of the “high-end” mascaras. I included reference pics of my natural short & scarce lashes and a pic of my lashes curled with just one application of this mascara. One application already gave my lashes a nice length and some volume. It isn’t clumpy and can easily be removed with makeup wipes. I recommend that you give this mascara a try and see why there’s more than 400k reviews! I have definitely been repurchasing this mascara and also given them as gifts because I love it so much. I personally don’t like to get lash extensions done or anything too fancy, so for me this is a great alternative to wearing false lashes.

Absolutely hands down the best mascara. I naturally have little to no lashes, and this mascara makes a huge difference. It keeps my lashes dark, full, and adds noticeable length without clumping. No clumping, goes on nicely, doesn't flake, or smear, especially in Florida humidity. I apply two coats, and see the difference immediately. I use coconut oil as a makeup remover, then wash normally with face wash, and witch hazel toner. It comes off beautifully, no residue on my pillow. At $3.00 and change, it's a bargain. I don't wear makeup daily, only special occasions. I also throw out mascara after six months to a year, to avoid bacteria. This permits me the luxury of tossing after only about six uses. I used the brown as my hair color is dark brown with a lot of silver. It isn't too light, or too dark.

I’m giving this mascara a full five stars, which is rare for me because my eyelashes are extremely stubborn. This one genuinely impressed me. First off, the packaging is adorable—a black tube with a silicone-style design featuring a crown and heart details. It feels cute and fun without being cheap. Application is where this mascara really shines. It goes on so easily and, unlike many mascaras, it does not clump. Even when applying multiple coats, it stays smooth and clean instead of turning into a mess. This mascara gives that false-lash effect it promises. It adds length, definition, and separation without weighing my lashes down. The spoolie brush does an amazing job separating each lash and delivering just the right amount of product. Now, let’s talk about waterproofing—because this is important. This mascara is not waterproof at all. It comes off easily with warm water, which I actually appreciate for everyday wear because removal is quick and gentle. That said, if you sweat, cry, or tear up, it will run. So this is not the mascara to wear to the gym or during emotional moments. For daily use, work, errands, or casual outings, this mascara is perfect. It makes your lashes look incredible with minimal effort. I’ll absolutely switch to a waterproof option when needed, but for everyday wear, this one is a winner. Bottom line: amazing results, zero clumping, easy application, easy removal. Just don’t expect it to be waterproof. If that works for your lifestyle, this mascara is a must-have.

Love this mascara!! Ive seen it before and always passed it up.. but 4$ and some change honey you can have false looking lashes and its does not flake... which i always deal with... even with the exspensive mascara. It can become clumpy.. but i just use a softer hand when applying.

Boy, did I get lucky when I bought this set of three. The price is amazing. I’m 69 years old. I’ve been wearing mascara since I was probably 14 or 15. I’ve used several different kinds. This one by far I think is my favorite slides on easily, stays on through the day. Super easy to wash off with make up remover if it doesn’t come right off I use a little bit of coconut oil. Never feels heavy. Doesn’t clump. It just glides on so easy I couldn’t be happier. I am forever hooked on this mascara. Seriously ladies this one’s a game changer. I’m just hoping with all the good reviews. The price won’t go up. I did not get the waterproof. And I won’t I like the one I have the (green print.) Also, this mascara has lasted me quite a while. I’m still on the first one. Has not dried out at all. I can’t say enough good things about this mascara.
