I set the temperature to 99.4°F (setting +/- increment of 0.5°F steps), and within about 12 minutes, it was fully preheated with water inside. At first, the temp fluctuated a bit (my room was a chilly 60°F), but the manual had the perfect solution: use the included foam box for insulation. I’m so glad I didn’t throw it away—once I placed the unit in the foam, the temperature locked in beautifully at 99.3°F and stayed there! The built-in alarm is a lifesaver. If the temperature goes out of range, it beeps to alert you right away—huge peace of mind. And let’s talk features—this thing is loaded! It can hold up to 36 eggs (yes, 36!) and includes a built-in egg tester for candling—just press a button and shine the light through the egg to check progress. So cool! It also has an automatic egg-turner that gently rotates the eggs on its own—no manual flipping needed. Total game changer. I have mixed feelings about this incubator. Pros: • Holds temperature very well • Great shape and layout for lockdown and hatching • Works well as a dedicated hatcher Cons: • Humidity is extremely inconsistent during the first 18 days • Humidity alarm goes off constantly • Alarm sounds throughout the night, even after levels are checked and adjusted • Difficult to keep humidity stable, which negatively impacts hatch rates The temperature control performs reliably and stays consistent. However, the humidity fluctuates significantly during incubation, and I have not found a dependable way to stabilize it. The constant humidity alarm is disruptive and goes off frequently, including overnight. Because of the instability during the first 18 days, I will not be using this unit as a full-time incubator. That said, I do like the design and find it works well for lockdown and the actual hatching phase. Overall: Reliable for temperature and useful as a hatcher, but not dependable for the full 21-day incubation cycle due to humidity control issues.

I love this incubator. So far, it's been great. The humidity is a bit sketchy. If you fill it per the directions your hu.idity is way too high. I didn't add water at all and my humidity is at a perfect 50%...just use your brain and this incubator is awesome!

I bought this Egg Incubator for Hatching Chicks, 36 Eggs Automatic Turner with Temperature & Humidity Control hoping for an easy, reliable setup for my first batch of fertile eggs. The automatic turner works smoothly (no issues there), and the build feels decent for the price—clear view, fan circulation, etc.Unfortunately, the built-in temperature and humidity readings seem pretty inaccurate. The display would show numbers that didn't match what my backup digital thermometer/hygrometer (calibrated ones from a reputable brand) were reading. I ended up relying completely on the backups placed inside the incubator to monitor and adjust, because trusting the unit's sensors could've ruined the whole batch.Maintaining stable temp and humidity was a constant battle. Even small adjustments to the water trays or vents caused swings, and it was hard to keep things steady without frequent checks and tweaks. The water reservoir is also super easy to overfill—it's not very forgiving, and excess water pools quickly, which messes with humidity even more.On the hatch itself: only about 3% success rate on the first run (basically 1 chick out of ~30+ eggs). Could be user error (my first time), bad eggs, or the machine struggling with consistency—hard to say for sure. The low hatch rate was frustrating after 21 days of babysitting it.I'll update this review after another cycle or two once I get more experience and see if I can get better results with the backups guiding everything. If you're experienced with incubators and don't mind calibrating/monitoring externally, it might be workable. For beginners or anyone wanting set-it-and-forget-it accuracy, I'd look at a more proven model with better sensor reviews.Pros: Automatic turning functions well Holds a good number of eggs Affordable entry point Cons: Temp/humidity sensors unreliable (use your own backups!)
