I received the comforter today and so far I like it. It is cotton but feels like a thicker cotton material. It’s not very soft but it’s definitely not rough. I’ve had super soft cotton comforters before and they wear out fast and rip easily, and I don’t see that happening with this comforter. It’s not a stiff comforter where it sticks up at the corners when you lay it on the bed - it lays nice. I went with the king size for my queen bed. I like the extra length comforter for 2 people because we both toss and turn and I win the comforter battle most nights. The king size lays nice on my queen bed especially that I have a few inch mattress topper and my bed sits pretty high. I usually buy a higher end comforter sets but I went through 4 sets in 6 years and it was disappointing. They rip easily and the filling bunches up on the edges whey you wash them. I didn’t want to spend that much this time and I’m satisfied with the quality and price point of this comforter set. You get what you pay for but I think this set is worth the buy. ... show more

I absolutely love these comforters. They look great in our lodge style motel rooms. They were a great price on Amazon, so we put them in all rooms for the winter. They were nice and warm and thick. However- they are so large they don't fit in our washing machines, so our cleaners tried, and the stuffing ended up pretty messed up. If you buy these- I would not recommend standard laundering- definitely hang to dry or take to a drycleaner. We switched to this exact style and color EB duvet and eliminated that issue, but I really did love these and they were very comfortable. I would have kept using them myself, but our beds need to look pristine at all times, I cannot have lumps! We have also purchased EB duvets in the black and white plaid as well as the beige with red plaid. They are all very nice! ... show more

Well packaged. No strange odors when unpacked as sometimes happens with bedding and linens from Amazon. There is a comforter and matching in each set. The quality is exceptional. A crisp-cotton feel, vibrant colors. It fit the twin mattresses perfectly with just the right amount of overhang. Fluffy right out of the box. The price was very fair for this kind of quality. This is a mixed one for me. On one hand, I kept it. It is warm and functional, and well-made. On the other hand, the material (others have noted this) is VERY ROUGH. It might be 100% cotton, as it says, but it feels like a mix of bark and poly. Maybe a very low thread count? Definitely not soft. I wont use it on the bed, as I had been planning. Would never cuddle into this. I will use it as a base or cushion for camping, picnicking, or on top of the air mattress as a buffer (air mattresses get cold). It is very warm.
