This thing is awesome and worth every penny. It’s as quick and easy to grab as a broom but it picks up dust and dander like a full size vacuum. It’s much more nimble and the laser makes it almost impossible to miss spots. The battery is more than enough for a 900-1300sq ft home. The media could not be loaded. This is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned. It was very simple to put together, just a couple of minutes. I was worried that the collection tube would fill up really fast, but it actually is bigger than I thought. Easy to empty. It sounds loud in the video, but actually it’s quieter than my other vacuums. I know that a lot of vacuums now are Bluetooth connected, but I haven’t had one so that was so cool for me. I also love that there is a display screen that shows what the battery percentage is at, and also it took me a little bit to figure out what the number countdown was, it’s how much battery time is left. So that’s awesome. Take the guess out for sure. There’s 3 settings you can change by pushing the Bluetooth button. Eco, medium, and boost. Of course with eco the battery life is longer at 20 minutes and with boost on it’s about 10. I like the brush heads don’t get tangled with hair. The green LED lights on the front and back are CRAZY because you can see all of the dirt and hair around you. I vacuum my hardwood floors at least twice a week with a regular handheld vacuum and a Roomba, which is several years old and I have wanted to get rid of it forever, but my husband refuses 🙄. Anyway, I never thought the Roomba worked that good and the fact that it’s round, you’re never going to be able to get into the corners that well, plus my brushes have fallen off so there’s that. My regular vacuum, I don’t even remember what brand it is, but I also got it from Amazon a few years ago during Black Friday, and it works well but the main thing is the cord is short so I can’t even do one whole room without having to unplug it and plug it in somewhere else. That’s why I LOVE that this one is cordless battery because I can literally take it anywhere in the house no problem and not have to worry about a stinking cord. The different attachments are great too. They allow me to get behind furniture and in corners really good. The vacuum itself is pretty lightweight and glides itself, which makes it very easy to handle, although I do wish that there was a little something to grip because I have small hands so holding a circular base the whole time makes my hand start to cramp up a little bit and I’ll have to switch to my left hand. I was wondering why the area between my thumb and index finger was kind of sore lol. The rotating head makes it super easy to get around furniture and in corners pretty well and also you can get underneath tables and chairs quite easily. The price is expensive I would say, but I think pretty worth it. It’s literally made me obsessed with vacuuming because of those lights. I can see SOOOOO much more and not miss anything. Its very cool and also horrifying because it looks like I’ve never vacuumed my floors even though like I said I typically do it at least twice a week. When I flipped the unit over to feel the section it doesn’t seem that powerful, but it does pick everything up so 🤷🏼♀️. I don’t know that it’s really made for carpets necessarily because there definitely is not enough section for that. I have tried on my carpet with the boost setting and it picks some debris up but it for sure leaves hair behind. And thanks to those lights again I can see it all 🤦🏼♀️. The media could not be loaded. This is a light and fun vacuum. I say fun because it is fun to use. The combination of the weight and the four cones makes it glide over hardwood floors like it is on ice. The power is lacking compared to the other Dyson stick vacuums, but it is still surprisingly good for a product that is compact and lightweight. The vacuum can handle daily dust accumulation and occasional larger particles, but this is not for heavy messes. It can connect to the application with Bluetooth, which really is only good for keeping stats on the battery life. The head incorporates the green dust detection light that many of the Dyson product have, which works well to show dust on hard surfaces. The quick disconnects for tools and the dust bin are the same as the larger Dyson products only scaled down. Unfortunately, I have found these to be sticky compared to their larger counterparts. Sometimes it is quite difficult to release the dust bin. Pros: Lightweight, Cones glide on floor and quite maneuverable, relatively quiet, good power for size, green dust light works great Cons: Buttons stickier than other Dyson products, Low power relative to other stick vacuums Overall, my experience with the Dyson PencilVac has been enjoyable due to its light weight and maneuverability. It has a limited range of capabilities compared to other stick vacuums due to the lack of power and only using the fluffycones tool head. It is good for a home that is predominantly hard floors and for people that keep up with vacuuming, so there are not heavy messes. ... show more
