    • Beautiful but a tad uncomfortable.

These are gorgeous looking ankle boots in a rustic brown cherry maroon color. The heel has a lift of at least two inches and the square toe is accomodating to anyone with wide feet. There are two things I find uncomfortable though with these boots. One is the part that sits around the ankle. It is very stiff and when you walk, the hard circumference rubs at your upper ankles, causing irritation and friction. Tall, cushy socks can remedy this, but if wearing them as a no-sock look, this might be an issue. They may break in though with continued wear, but I haven't worn them more than two times yet since arrival. The second is that there is no sole or arch support at all. They are quite hard inside and your foot feels the hardness from the ground. I intend to add some insoles, but will make the toe box and heel room quite tight, and then I can't wear as thick socks as wanted. If you want to add some insoles, maybe order a 1/2 size up to accommodate them! Other than though these ankle boots are beautiful and so appealing! ... show more
