Description

The 20V MAX XR brushless cordless 1/4 sheet variable speed sander provides you with the power and runtime needed to get the job done. A variable-speed dial provides speed control from 8,000 - 14,000 OPM for a variety of jobs. One-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors (sold separately). Rubber overmold grip provides comfortable sanding. Paper clamp designed to hold paper securely and for ease of installation. Battery and charger sold separately.

This Dewalt sander is the best. I can’t believe how much easier it is without a cord. I can sand drywall from walls to ceilings. For the pads it uses a clamp in the front to hold it and then two levers in the back that pull it down tight. Much better than just two levers. Battery usage is about average. I tried the paper punch on the pads for windowsills and the dust bag seemed to hold a lot. A definite good buy. ... show more

Great sander. Dust collector does okay, about as good as other's I've used. These days I mainly do my sanding projects on a sanding table at a makers-space so dust isn't an issue, however I have coupled my vacuum to this at home and it works great in that regard, but the collector will suffice in a pinch. Eats batteries. I find that by the time one battery is dead, another has just finished charging, and I kinda go into a rotation process throughout the project. I bought this for small projects so that's fine. If I had a big project or was going to use it a lot, I'd probably have gone for the corded version. All said and done, though, I'm happy with my purchase and anyone looking for a cordless sander in this bracket would, I believe, be satisfied. ... show more

Typical great quality and performance from Dewalt. Have used this sander to refinish several large pieces of solid wood furniture. Have used it with very fine up to corse grit sandpaper. It will run non stop for 2-3 hours on a 5hr Dewalt batt. Love not having a cord!! It’s pretty quiet compared to others I own. It does a pretty good job containing the dust in the small bag that comes with it. Definitely recommend this product. ... show more
