  • Excellent tool

This is a great tool! Works very well and does not quickly deplete the battery.

  • Great tool from a trusted brand
Style: Tool Only
This DEWALT Cordless 20v Max XR Oscillating Multi-tool is exactly what I was looking for. As a woman, I find it easy to hold and work with. It is very accurate with the blades it comes with. Although I was able to buy this tool at a discounted price than name brand box stores, the tool is the same product that they carry and works just like the tools the big box stores sell. This is a genuine DEWALT product with the same durability and long-lasting quality as any other DEWALT tool. When using 5 Amp battery, the charge holds pretty well. I would buy this DEWALT Oscillating tool again if I needed another one. ... show more

  • Wow! What a difference!
Style: Tool Only
I bought this reciprocating saw to replace an old corded saw from Harbor Freight. Now lest anyone think I'm criticizing HF, I'm absolutely not. That old saw was cheap and it did a lot of cutting for for several years. It was a great choice when I had to conserve cash. BUT, this DeWalt saw is sooo much better. I love the cordless feature, and since I have a few DeWalt tools and batteries, it is very convenient. I used this while doing a vinyl plank floor installation in my son's home. We had to cut back the molding around a number of doors. In that application, where we moved several feet from one door to the next, not needing to move an extension cord or have it cluttering our work area between cuts was a big asset. Secondly, this saw makes changing blades far easier than the cap screw system on the old saw. You just press a quick release lever and the blade is lose, but it never once came loose when I didn't want it to. I cannot say either of those for the HF saw. Finally, this saw has a lot more power than my HF corded saw. It cuts much faster. All in all, the HF saw was a great deal on a tight budget, but this is a great saw. I'm happy to recommend it. ... show more

  • Best tool next to a drill.
Style: Tool Only
At first I didn’t think I would use it that much, I was wrong! I bought a second one for my condo in Florida. If you get the blades from Home Depot or Lowe’s it’s a rip off. Order them off line and it’s dirt cheap.

  • A handy tool
Style: Tool Only
This works well for light cutting and sanding. I bought the DeWalt sanding pad and learned it's a little larger than the "kits" on Amazon that include a generic pad and sanding sheets. There are sanding sheets available on Amazon that are the exact size of this pad.

  • A little concerning
Style: Tool Only
The tool seems to be fine. What concerns my husband is that the tool came “bare bones” loose in a generic, fabricated box with a small plastic bag haphazardly stapled with a few small pieces in it. There is no manual for the tool or explanation of the parts. He knows the manual can be downloaded but worries the tool may be refurbished although there is no sign of it having been used. ... show more

Hubby needed the tool only for work and this was the best price we could find, beating our local Ace Hardware and Home Depot by at least $50. It came in an unmarked generic box and not a branded Dewalt box, which made us raise an eyebrow slightly, but the tool itself seems to be genuine and brand new. ... show more

  • You probably didn't know u needed this.
Style: Tool Only
I've been working as a general contractor for the past 6 months, my boss has the Milwaukee oscillator and I found myself reaching for his all the time and I finally decided to get my own. Man, I really didnt realize how much I'd be using this, its so great for siding, trim, tight nails, PVC, drywall (incredible for drywall, man oh man), scraping/cutting old caulk/paint, removing grout, cutting out pipes, and on and on... I really like the quick swap lever on the DeWalt, makes it so easy to swap blades. The downside is that when using the lever its really easy to pull the trigger so I feel it necessary to take off the battery every time. You may feel braver than me, but I've still got 10 fingers! The variable speed trigger is really nice, though with the 3 speed selection more often than not I just end up locking the trigger and using the 3 speeds as my overall control, just feels more consistent. It is still nice to ease into cuts, though. I would recommend using a 5ah+ battery with it, as it just gives it a little more juice. I would also recommend purchasing belt clips for this, while you can set it on end on the battery, its real nice to be able to just throw it on my belt while I'm on a ladder or using it often. With the adapter included it CAN accept Starlock blades as well. Much of the tools utility comes from all the different blades it accepts which means its a bit of an investment to collect the blades needed for different tasks. On a side note, if you are wondering/debating on trying cheap blades vs quality blades, get quality blades. You can get a set of 100 blades for $20 and think "it doesn't matter if they wear out quick, 100 is so many", well that's what I thought and 100 isn't that many when it takes 4 to cut through 1 2x4; maybe I got a bad batch, maybe I'm not so great with the tool, but when I use quality blades they last WAY longer. Diablo blades are just worth it, they have a 5 pack for something like $50, thats good value as most box store brand blades are $9-15ish, and I've found Diablo blades last so much longer, plus most local hardware stores actually carry Diablo so you can support your community! (or I may just be fortunate with my area)! If you insist on shopping online, EZARC is a brand that I've found does a really good job and seems to generally be cheaper than Diablo, love their long cutter blades. ... show more
