Big and heavy, but they lassssst!! Granted these are probably intended for things like Leaf blowers and Circular saws, but I use them on everything, including DeWalt's light stand. Lasts well over 4 hours on that (More probably, but I finished in that time!

I bought this 2-pack of DEWALT 20V MAX XR 6Ah batteries because the price was too good to pass up, and I’m really glad I grabbed them. These high-capacity batteries last a long time, and they’ve made a noticeable difference with the tools I use most. Whether I’m running drills, saws, or impact drivers, the power feels consistent and strong all the way through the charge. One thing I appreciate is how much less often I have to stop and swap batteries now. For bigger jobs or long days on a construction site, that extra run time really pays off. I purchased a pair of these 6AH's in January 23 and another pair in August. I always write the month and year of the purchase of the battery with a Sharpie so I can keep up with the age (I have about 10 batteries in varying AH). About 6 weeks ago, I noticed that one of the 6AH batteries bought in January would only charge to level 2 and would drop immediately when put on a tool. When time permitted, I tried to recharge several times on a Dewalt multi-charger and a single charger, but same result. I finally gave up on dealing with it because I don't have time to for it. My concern is how long will the others last; these aren't cheap. I will probably not buy anymore of these 6AH's until I can feel confident that the one battery was a fluke. UPDATE, 29 AUG 25: Of the two pairs I bought in 2023, only one still works. Allow me to point out, I don't use these batteries all day, everyday for work (I work from a computer all day), but do rotate use regularly as I renovate my shop/office and around the properties projects (they're endless between the chicken coop, large garden and beds, irrigation, the well...). Because of these failures, that I feel are premature considering my moderate use, and the weight, I will not buy these 6AH batteries for general use; I do have some devices that require 6AH, 8AH and 12AH batteries, so I will not be able to completely rid myself of big Dewalt batteries. However, for general use, I've decided to try the 5AH batteries: smaller size, weigh less, less cumbersome, cost less and true, runtime is slightly less. Hope this helps. ... show more

I absolutely HATE the price of lithium batteries. That said, these are competitively priced so that's a "thumbs up". If you use DeWalt gear and don't want to trust off-brands or use adapters for other name brand batteries, these are the way to go. These 6Ah batteries are necessary if you are using serious juice sucking tools like weed eaters, where you absolutely don't want to waste your money on anything less than a 5Ah battery. That said, even these 6Ah's will only give you about a 45 minute run time with a weed eater, so make sure you have a rapid charger - or a LOT of batteries if you have a lot of ground to cover. ... show more
