This power tool delivers 600 ft-lbs of max fastening torque and 800 ft-lbs. of max breakaway torque for challenging projects. Designed to help prevent overtightening in forward, and run-off in reverse, the wrench integrates a Precision Wrench setting to help optimize user control. Utilize the updated 4-mode push button switch to easily transition speeds when needed. This Impact Wrench brings high torque and weighs less than 4 lbs. (Tool only), making it ideal for pipe flanges, grooved couplings, tilt wall braces, wheel lugs, concrete anchor setting and many other applications where high torque is needed in compact spaces. For the price it punches well above its weight, the Torque Test channel sung its praises, and I’ve had a great time using this for anything from working on the cars to installing framing shear wall hardware to installing steel pre-fabbed stairs. I’d recommend this one unless you are diesel mechanic or a professional mechanic who needs all the torque a hand tool could possibly have. It says 800 lbs breakaway torque and it means it! I tried breaker bars to remove a nut with my 240lb body wait jumping up and down on the bar and I couldn’t break the nut off my truck rims. I ordered the DeWalt impact wrench so I wouldn’t have to go to a shop and pay someone 300 bucks to do it. Took all about five seconds for it to break the nut torque and take the nut off the wheel stud. For the price it’s definitely an investment but after you sent it for the last few months, it’s totally worth the money. Has lots of amazing features. I like that actually works so you can see what you’re doing. A very cool feature for when you remove the bolt that automatically stops so it doesn’t just spin off. ... show more

Shipped faster than expected, i’ve had no issue removing lug nuts and rusty bolts with it, and it’s not as big and heavy as the high torque ones. Perfect for beginners, diy or professionals

Performed as needed & torque delivered was very adequate. Have used Dewalt in past & am satisfied. Deducted one star, as another reviewer noted, the sliding switch for reverse/forward is a bit cheap, does not feel like a solid slide with the switch that "takes" very well. Its only maybe a 3mm movement but compared to other brands, this does not feel solid or designed well. Also, the task light is mounted near the battery rather than on the anvil, like my other Dewalt drivers. It works but lighting can be obstructed on the task in tight places like i had to use this impact wrench for most recently. Again, as another reviewer noted, its annoying to change the light adjustment brightness button or the drive program buttons with the light shining directly in your eyes as you toggle through the functions. This was not well designed. I definitely think the task light location could have been better placed in the anvil area. Otherwise the weight, balance & design of this item is mostly well done. I needed a more powerful driver, hence this purchase & it delivered. Definitely has the torque for lug nut removal and beyond. ... show more

Strong impact. Got this mostly just to take off truck tires (I have a 2500) and trailer tires and it does so with ease. It’s also taken off a few stubborn axle nuts with no issue
