I went back and forth for a week based on the reviews I had to go off on this cabinet. I knew I was taking a risk with shipping damage. I was just hoping that if there was damage it would be minimal and fixable. Giving the most honest review from my experience I do feel that for over $400 the quality of the cabinet should be a little better. That being said did it go together fairly easy? Yes. The directions aren’t the best at explaining but it’s pretty straightforward. Most of the pre drilled holes were not correct however you can easily hand screw into the wood anyways. There was some minimal cosmetic damage that I repaired with wood glue or won’t be seen anyways. All in all I’m glad I went with this cabinet since it was the style I was looking for. ... show more

These cabinets are all very well built. There may be a few defects in the finish but they will make it right, as they have proven to me twice. The only thing I don’t like is the drawer hardware which is very basic—no soft closing, or that more expensive design where the inside of the drawers can span the full opening. Easy to assemble but it was a damaged also I could tell that it was purchased by someone else who did a poor job of assembly and it was also damaged by UPS who delivered it If it wasn’t a inside piece I would have to return it but I managed to assemble it and I’m hoping that it will work otherwise it’s getting returned ... show more

    • One problem during assembly; cabinet is poorly packaged

The cabinet is a good value for the price. It is all wood, albeit plywood, but all wood nonetheless. One bit of advice during assembly: after sliding in the two side panels into the face frame (Steps 4 and 5), you're instructed to mount the male clips to the face frame. There are two per side, totaling four. I strongly advise you to mount the two top clips only at this time. Here's why: Step 7 instructs you to "Slide the back panel into the grooves in the side panels..." If you have already mounted the two bottom clips like you were instructed, you'll need to unscrew them. Otherwise, you won't be able to slide the back panel all the way in and interlock with the bottom panel, which was installed in Step 6. Once you've got the back panel fully seated, go ahead and mount those two remaining bottom clips from Steps 4 and 5. Another bit of advice: an extra pair of hands will be quite useful during assembly to keep the panels stable. Also, it will speed up assembly so you'll have enough time to wipe off the wood glue runs and drips while they're still wet. The wood glue is not included with the kit. I managed to assemble it alone but an assistant would have been nice. Finally, the packaging of this cabinet is atrocious. My first one came damaged and I immediately ordered a replacement. I purposely didn't send the first one back yet because I fully expected the second one to be damaged, too. The packaging is that bad. I figured I could Frankenstein one good cabinet of out the parts from two damaged ones and I was right. The second one was indeed damaged but I cobbled together one good cabinet from the two. I'd allow a week extra lead time when ordering in anticipation of a damaged product during delivery. ... show more
