Bought this for myself for a 21st birthday in 2011. It’s been an EDC and a random hiking knife here and there. Overall good knife to have for random jobs around the house and cabin. One handed opening is nice as well. Nowadays I use it once a week at my weekend autozone job and it still gets the job done. I’ve used the Cutco sharpening tool that came with my parents’ Cutco kitchen set they bought at the same time. Nice knife…would I buy again? Mind you the price was MUCH cheaper almost 12 years ago. I’d probably look elsewhere at this $175 price in 2023. ... show more

I’ve owned hundreds of pocket knives in my life. My wife gave me this Cutco lockblade knife #1891 as a wedding trinket. I have been carrying this pocket knife with clip for 26 years as of May 13, 2021 It has a “little less blade” than when it was new, but keeping it sharp over the years has taken a slight toll on the blade. The ONLY sharpener I’ve ever used on it, is the Cutco sharpener that came with the Cutco kitchen knife set she acquired 26 years ago. The blade is quick to sharpen and stays as sharp as a razor for quite a while. I literally came here looking for a new one... but the one I have is fine, sharp as a razor! I’ll keep what I have.
