These were the best crayons ever. Very easy for my grandson to hold at his age, and he loves using them. Also, because of the shaoe and size, they last a long time and aren't easy to break. I'm so glad I found them.

Great way to introduce coloring. Due to their shape, they’re easy to grip for such little hands. The red was a little dull looking, but after a few times using it, the color seemed to brighten up. My child likes to put them in their mouth, and I’ve noticed that they sort of turn into paint when they get wet from that. Otherwise, if kept dry, they’re great crayons. ... show more

After my (then) 10 month old showed quite an interest in my colored pencils and my adult coloring book I figured it was time for him to get his first set of crayons! For his first birthday, I purchased these for him, but also got a pack of the large triangular crayons for his Easter basket (Crayola My First Crayola Triangular Crayons 8ct). Though I think these are easier for him to grip, he seems more interested in eating them than using them to color. Maybe because the triangle crayons look more like my colored pencils? Either way, he prefers those to these egg shaped ones. Here are other comments I have: -I love how these do not have paper on them-one less thing to rip and make a mess -They have so far held up to getting tossed around and dropped, but I can see how the middle seam might not hold up after prolonged use. -I would have preferred a darker color than yellow for one of the three options. I know, they were trying to just have the primary colors, but for the FIRST set of crayons, I think kids are just learning the cause and effect of "Oh, if I drag this egg shaped thing on the paper, it leaves behind color!". The yellow is really hard to see- so I don't think they get that instant gratification as much as if they had chosen to include green, purple, or even orange instead. Overall, these aren't very expensive so I'm not too disappointed, but if I were to do it again I probably just would have skipped these and gone right to the triangle shaped option. ... show more

My boy just loved this product, he started playing with it and making his drawings with the crayons on his reading book and drawing notebook. Plus the floor! Hahaha good thing these are washable. Totally recommend it.

The shape of these crayons are perfect for the novice entering into the experience of coloring. The shape fits nicely into a toddler's hands so little hand coordination is necessary.
