I would normally not rate anything with a 5, but this tool will save your hand. If you have a project requiring several rivets, buy this. I suffer from Old-Ides, my hand could not stand manual rivet installation, this is the way to go. It held up well, easy to operate, performed well.

This works great but has to cycle twice for longer rivets and then leaves a sharp stub. Put a rivet in, put it in place, and squeeze the trigger. Pops the rivet then reverses and the rivet shaft ejects. Well, doesn’t eject it but comes out enough to grab it. Build seems good. Sure beats hand riveting.

Effortlessly installs rivets in seconds. Something I wish I’d had years ago. I used to have the Milwaukee m12 riveter but eventually got rid of it due to its cost to necessity ratio being way too high. It also struggled with high strength rivets which when I do rivet I tend to use. Anyways, at less than a 1/3 of the cost of the M12 or even Dewalt’s own 20v rivet gun this thing is excellent. It’s very well built and feels durable not fragile at all. The yellow is not quite dewalt yellow, but it’s pretty close. One reviewer mentioned that you’ll need another wrench to swap the tips, and this is true, however they made it seem like you’d need a specialty wrench and not just your average c-wrench. The included wrench, which doubles as the additional tip holder, has an opening that fits perfectly to hold the end piece that the tip is screwed into in place and you’d use your c-wrench to remove the tip itself. Not a big deal. My only complaint about this tool is that it is quite long so it’s not going to work in tight confines like the m12 does. It also does not have onboard post storage which to me is just a convenience feature on some and not really necessary. I’m really glad we live in a time when these types of specialty power tools can be offered by third parties for us regular joes to enjoy.

Great riveter, no complaints. I don't know how to compare it to an expensive brand, but this riveter does exactly what I wanted it to do in my car and for DIY home projects.
