After my favorite down pillow from Ikea exploded in the dryer 4 years ago, I've been on the search for the perfect one. Of course Ikea discontinued that one...so the search was on. I'm hypermobile and move constantly through the night or else my body relaxes too much and things fall out of place. I need something that's good for all sleepers - back, stomach, and side. I tried other Ikea pillows, Bed Bath & Beyond, those ergonomic ones that look funny, etc. A new pillow every few months, but nothing was quite right. Finally, I ordered 2 pillows from Casper, the down pillow and this one, the classic. I knew immediately that the down wasn't quite right. But this one... When I'm on my back, it's fluffy enough to cradle my ears while also being thin enough not to push my neck up and out of place. When I'm on my stomach and sides, it's firm enough to support, but soft enough that I never think I'm sleeping on a rock. And if it goes flat, just a quick fluff and it's back to the original shape. It's even approved for washing and drying so I shouldn't experience the same explosion as my previous favorite. Whenever I need a new pillow, I'll be buying this one again, for sure! ... show more

A family member recommended this brand to me. So I went on their site to check it out. I did their pillow test to see which pillow was right for me. Look at the photos they had on their site it seem pretty legit. So thought this pillow would be full and fluffy. Boy was I wrong it was a little fluffy. But try to sleep on it had zero support. It was more like stacking 2 pillow cases together. It kind of reminds me of a bag of chip filled with air. But I bet a bag of chips would have more support than this pillow. It definitely not worth spending $139 for it. ... show more

Bought their side sleeper pillows along with queen size bed with adjustment frame about 5 years ago. Paid over $6000 for all of it which now costs at least half the price. With that said I definitely have got what I paid for when it comes to Casper products including the down pillow. It may be pricey but you have a soft fluffy pillow that supports sleep in just about any position. You are having to deal with feathers that leak and poke through which then stab you while you are asleep like with most other pillows that are cheaper quality and cost. Will definitely continue to purchase as long as this pillow doesn’t discontinue like the previous ones. ... show more

    • Great pillow for stomach sleepers!

I’ve been needing a new pillow for some time. I am a side and stomach sleeper and lean more towards pillows that go flat - something a more firm pillow usually provides. Currently I use a tempurpedic pillow and really disliking it. The Casper Down didn’t seem like something I’d want. Down pillows flatten quickly and I don’t get the support I need. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pillow. It came inside a box, not the tube package i’m used to, and was sealed in a rolled up plastic. After fluffing it up the pillow is now in the normal size you’d expect. PROS: - It’s LIGHT. Air light. Very little weight to it - It feels airy and cloud-like - The material is decently supported - Works great if you bunch your pillow up with your arms - Fluffing it up takes little effort - Material stays cool (for the most part) CONS: - I wish it had more support but it’s a personal preference - The material isn’t as soft as I’d hoped without the pillow case - Material makes a little crunch sound. Maybe this gets better after a wash of some use? Overall this is a very comfortable pillow and i’m enjoying it so far. I would recommend it if you’re a stomach sleeper, over many others. If you’re a side sleeper and need support to dodge neck cramps, this may not be the best for you unless you another pillow for some support when needed. ... show more

    • Bad for Side Sleepers- Goes Flat Quickly with Very Little Support

As a side sleeper I was excited to try a chambered down pillow. Ive tried several other down pillows and most tend to go flat by morning, leaving your head angled down in a painful position. I'd hoped the chambered design of this pillow would provide the extra support that was advertised to keep that from happening, but the pillow has maybe half the fill that it probably should and goes flat almost immediately after laying down- Great design, poor execution. This pillow might work great for stomach and back sleepers (hence two stars instead one of one), but it's nowhere near supportive enough for a side sleeper. I even ran it on an air fluff cycle in the dryer with two tennis balls per the wash instructions to get maximum fluff and it still went flat almost immediately. Not having enough fill makes it unsupportive and no amount of fluffing can fix that. Similarly priced down pillows from Bed Bath Beyond hold their loft much longer. Very disappointed, especially for the price- sending it back for a refund. ... show more

I have had this pillow for 2.5 months now. I have slept on down pillows all my life. For the last few years I have had problems waking up with neck pain in the middle of the night. I think it’s because my pillow was getting too old. Have tried probably seven different pillows to alleviate the neck pain. On recommendation of my chiropractor I own one memory foam pillow but I can’t sleep on it for more than an hour without my ear feeling smooshed. Too stiff! So I gave this a try. The first night I woke up with neck pain again but from then on it went pretty smooth. This pillow is firm enough for support, yet soft enough not to make my ear feel smooshed. I recommend this! I think there is nothing like a down pillow but then that’s what I am used to. You fluff it up and it never gets lumpy like down alternative pillows. ... show more
