I installed it about 2 weeks ago, after reading negative reviews, I was prepared for the worse. I did as instructed, kept the thermostat sensor next to the water source and plugged both ends, however the middle of the body of the house was lightly still coiled. When I tried, the water was leaking from under the insulation, where connected to the water source, just as I saw it in the negative reviews. Then I remembered, the instruction clearly say, the house must be uncoiled, so I disconnected, and stretched it out completely in a straight line taking out any kinks, then I took the ends and plugged them in the outlet and inlet. Tested it again and NO LEAK, it works perfectly. That night, it was 25F degrees, the hose was warm to the touch and no leak (the pressure in my sink faucet doubled, I suppose my old hose was not as efficient as new one, etc...). So, it works. I must say, that the instructions, indicate that the heating element turns on below 50F degrees, my hose. turns on when it it is below 35F roughly, which is fine. ... show more

I had to use plier's to get the drip to stop on either end, but once snugged up, the connections seems to work good! The fact that they supplied an adapter and I was able to use either end at the trailer side to hook up power, was a bonus. Product seems of quality.

I bought one of these hoses at the end of January and it worked great right off the bat. However, fast forward to beginning of this month and the hose itself had failed, leaking water. I was out of Amazon's warranty window, so reached out to Camco directly for guidance on how to get it replaced. Fast forward a week and there's a brand new replacement hose delivered right to my door. Easy communication, fast turnaround and no questions asked (granted, the photos I provided were pretty clear as to the issue). So sure, its not ideal that the first one failed but in a world where it can be difficult to find a reliable brand - I feel very secure working with these guys and they earned my confidence. Hose works great btw. No issues with the connections leaking, water quality, or temperature. This is the one I'd buy again if/when I have to. ... show more

Buyer beware! Most reviews are when a product is new. Mine is from having had it a while. I purchased 2 of these for cold weather camping, so they don't get used regularly. My first red flag was when I couldn't get them to coil them up very tightly. Didn't want to force it, so lived with it. The third time I used one, water began leaking out one end. I disconnected it and swapped in the other one, which was leaking more water than the first one. When I got home, I split open the casing and found 3 leaks in a 25 foot hose. The hose was a cheap vinyl hose that was linked up and got pinches in it and split. I tested the heating elements and found they worked. I replaced the cheap hose with a good quality one and reassembled everything. The lesson to be learned is the hose portion of this product is junk. Buyer beware ... show more

This hose worked better than the last brand we used. We bought this in October 2025 and by January 2026 we noticed it had a major leak. **Update: We reached out to Camco and they sent us a new hose in record time! We are very grateful for their timely customer service.

I’ve had this hose for 5yrs and it just sprang a leak and now I need to replace it lol. I’d say that’s pretty damn good for a hose that gets constant daily use. When the weather gets into the sub zeros it does freeze up, even with added heat tape and foam insulation around it all buried about half a foot underground. All in all, even with the freezing I’d say it was a great hose, very durable, not too stiff but a durable firmness, it connected very easily and with the thread tape on it never leaked. ... show more

Do not buy this. It is over priced and far worse quality than the cheap chinese knockoffs. If you want quality, you'll have to build it yourself. Don't buy camco products. The heat wire insulation cracked and split while i was unraveling it for the very first time to use, causing an electrical hazard. Then the hose itself split open and started spraying water everywhere. Actual garbage. I'm pissed that i can't return this. I bought it early in the year in anticipation for the winter. And now that it's winter... i take out of the box for the first time and it's a straight up fire hazard. ... show more
