Bought it as a Christmas gift for my brother's kid. It was a hit! They love sea animals and this did not disappoint. It is recommended to run it for a couple days after setting it up for the jellyfish to move properly. Make sure you plug it in during that time. We used batteries to begin with and got less than a day on them (granted, it stayed on until the batteries died, so not bad on just batteries). You can also cycle through different color lights. Running for almost 5 years. We bought this lamp on March 6, 2021. It's now February 15, 2026 and it's still going strong. We bought some extra jellyfish on amazon for it and we like to keep it on the blue light. It does have some staining on the side of ours but that's because it was getting sunlight a bit in the past. I recommend this jellyfish lamp as it's wonderful and long lasting especially for the price ... show more

    • Loved it So Much I Bought Two More!
My boyfriend bought this for me for Christmas last year. Not only do I love it, but so does everybody else who has seen it! As a matter of fact, I bought two more - one for each of my sisters - to give away as gifts. The constant motion of the little jellies and the fish look so real. They are fun to just sit and watch. I only have two minor issues with this. One is that the remote is pretty much worthless if you are any further away than a few feet from the tank. Not a big deal for me, because I don't use anything other than Power anyway, so I never even use the remote. For the audio or light functions, though, it'd be really nice if it had a bigger range. The other thing is that the jellyfishes' tentacles tend to get sucked into the pump regularly. When they do, the little guys are stuck trying to get away. Sometimes they can do it themselves and sometimes one of the fish will get up under him and try pushing from underneath. Usually, though, I have to use the metal hook to help get him free. Not a big deal, but it would be so much better if there was a screen or something over the intake so that this couldn't happen. Other than that, though, I cannot recommend this enough! I bought this back in 2019 . I loved it so much , I even bought one for my mom. It is relaxing to watch . To have a simple distraction from the seriousness of adulting or navigating through childhood. It was.very well constructed, no leaks , no noise . Sadly last week the motor stopped working and no more swimmingly jellies. I’m beyond bummed , I always had it on in our living room. I am impressed with how long it lasted though. Looks and works very well. Silent and relaxing. 6 months in, I did have a problem where the motor stopped. I contacted the company through Amazon and received a quick response and offer of a replacement. I received the replacement 3 days later. I am very happy with the timeliness and quality of response from the seller. I ended up taking the broken one apart just to see, and the pump is a nice quality brushless pump. There was a bit of foam (from the built in filter) lodged against the impeller. I removed the foam and reassembled and it works fine again. It looks nicely made inside and out. ... show more

Bought for my daughter, for Christmas. Only used a handful of times. She wanted to turn it on today, so we plugged it in, and no movement. The unit will no longer turn on. We tried different plugs, different blocks. Nothing. EDIT: Reached out to seller, with a video and was met with prompt response, they are sending a new unit! Didn't even have to plead my case. I love this item. I have it on the counter at my work, so the my tenants see it. I’ve had several people ask me if the jellyfish are real. lol They do move just like a real jellyfish, and is very soothing to watch. I would love to have a bigger water tank.
