    • Perfect 3/4 for large semi oval heads
Bought this after a deep dive into what makes a helmet fit right, which ones lean more towards basic oval and who makes them light. This ticks every one of those boxes. For reference my hat size is 7 5/8 with a slight oval head. The XL size almost feels like they made it just for me. Snug to where is doesn't move once on but has no pinch points or hard spots. Every detail in these was well thought out and made with care. The red stitching in the liner is a nice touch. The ear cups are generous in size for ear buds and com systems. It feels and looks like it should cost more than it does. I have 7 helmets now of various types and 6 all have some drawback. Weight or heat disipation or too hot, noises....blah blah. The Bell does so many things right that it's hard to find any negatives. I've put about a thousand miles on it and it's been a great 3/4 helmet. ... show more

This helmet is extremely large. I think it may be made for Auto racing but is not suitable for riding motorcycles. The front of the helmet comes down too low over the eyes if you are leaning forward at all. It interferes with sunglasses if worn, rather than a face shield, which is my preference. I tried removing some of the foam around the forehead region but came to the conclusion that I should buy a motorcycle helmet not a race car helmet. ... show more

    • Safety and comfort beat cheap and stylish ever time
At 60cm, I'm at the top of Large. Low ears make a "perfect" fit uncomfortable. So I went one size up. Fits snug, comfortable, and quiet. I've ridden 49 years, mostly with a helmet over my ears. After 3 years of riding under a cool half helmet, I've got tinnitus. I ride long trips, not just a bar-hopper. Can't prove the cool helmet caused it, but I know the wind noise is getting to me. I'll update next week, as I have a 1,000 mile road trip. But, I'm sure I'll be praising this helmet. ... show more

    • Good helmet for the money, but quite a bit of wind noise.
The helmet is good for what it is, but the face opening is just a bit too small for my OTG goggles. And while it feels like your ears are well protected (muffled), when riding the wind is finding it's way into the ear chambers, and is pretty loud. I even somehow got a bug into the helmet and I could hear it buzzing around my ear inside the helmet. I do have a HUGE head, and am using the XL, which was slightly tight (a bit uncomfortable) at first, but has settled to my head well. Perhaps the XL and XXL share the same shell, because the shell seems huge compared to my head. Its a good helmet for $120 and has a classic look. Even the padding fabric has a cool vintage vibe to it. I'd give it 5 stars if it were't for the wind noise, which is surprising considering it really block other sounds (my v-twin exhaust, traffic) well. ... show more
