I bought this with the primary concern being heat defense, privacy was a bonus. I went with the S03, I put it on my west facing window and it has helped immensely with heat. It did darken the room, but it is so worth the trade. My cold weather dog now sunbathes in the “blazing” afternoon sun 😎 I definitely semi-butchered my installation, but it WAS actually pretty easy. My problem was I pulled it off and put it back on a million times so I got a bunch of hair and dust trapped behind it, but…IT FUNCTIONS great…so I do NOT care. Next one will be prettier, I used my leftover to practice with some smaller windows and finally figured out the trick to it. I also won’t do big windows alone again. Last thing I would like to say is that I don’t think it’s fair to compare these to blinds. These are an alternative, not a replacement.

We have a new house being built less than 10 ft from my kitchen windows. I wanted this up Before the owners move in. It is just the Right amount of Dark. You can see pretty well thru the film. Outside looking in..You're looking at yourself in a Mirror. Gonna use this on the same side of the house in the Tub/shower/ dressing room area. Super Happy!

My house faces west so we get a lot of heat and glare, especially since our front doors have large decorative glass panels and we also have a big window above them. These do a pretty good job on cutting down on both, and I like that they’re so dark that it gives a bit of nighttime privacy, too (people can still see in but it’s very dark) Just be sure to use lots of soapy water on both the window and the tint. It’s pretty forgiving on placement as long as you do that.

It says you can see thru it...which is why I bought it. I thought it would be like what you see at business like the picture shown. Reflection on the outside and you can see thru it on the inside. I just bought and had installed a new patio door and liked how much of view I got with it was looking to not block my view as much as possible. Thought this and linen curtain would be great. But when I put it up. I was looking back at myself and unable to see my backyard....which was not at all what I wanted or what it said. So, if your wanting mirrors...as you can see by the picture...that's what you get.

This tint was not what I was expecting. When installed the mirror effect from the outside looking in is excellent. Looks like an actual mirror. Unfortunately that is pretty much the same from the inside looking out, even with low lighting inside. I was looking for more of two way mirror affect, can't see in but can clearly see out. The tint is being used on an inside office window so just have to see if it will work out or not. 3 stars for great mirror from outside looking in.

I would not consider this a DIY-friendly job. (I'm not sure how the pros do it). A ton of bubbles and scratches using the included applicator. If you know what you are doing, I'm sure this is an awesome product. But requires great patience and skill if you want it to look good when you're done.

Our front window was causing so much heat in the house. The first day up it was dramatically cooler. So grateful for this product!! Installation was a lot of work, as others described, but the details to follow allowed for us to install it correctly, which the only reason the 4 stars for installation is because it's not easy, but the instructions are thorough and that deserves a 5! Any of the reviewers that had a mirror look on both sides had to have had difficulty during installation, the sheets that installed accurately had the one sided see-through appearance as the product claims.
