🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Apple Series 7 watch garners high praise for its functionality, strong build, and health monitoring features, with users appreciating its integration with the iPhone and the broad selection of apps and customizable options. While it's celebrated for its potential life-saving features, such as Afib notifications, and its stylish design compatible with both casual and formal wear, some users have noted a few downsides, including a tendency for the screen to scratch and the battery life being less than optimal for those expecting multi-day usage without charging. Overall, however, the feedback is overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the watch's convenience for a wide range of activities and its rapid charging capability.

Pros

  • 🙂 Strong case and scratch-resistant glass
  • 🌐 Wide range of apps and seamless iPhone integration
  • 🎨 High customizability with numerous aftermarket products
  • 🔋 Rapid charging feature
  • 💖 Health monitoring features credited with potentially life-saving alerts
  • 👗 Suitable for both casual and formal wear

Cons

  • 💲 High price point
  • ⏳ Less than optimal battery life with the "always on" feature
  • 🛡 Screen prone to scratches despite resistance

Should I Buy It?

If you're already invested in the Apple ecosystem and looking for a smartwatch that pairs seamlessly with your iPhone, offers a range of health monitoring features, and you don't mind charging it daily, the Apple Series 7 watch is an excellent choice. Its benefits in health tracking, customizability, and functionality seem to outweigh the concerns over battery life and screen durability for most users.

  • I really like this watch!
My fitness tracker was about 7 years old, and they didn't make that one anymore. And it was getting flaky. So it was time for a new watch! I went for the 41mm smaller one, because I do have smaller wrists, and I don't like a large clunky watch. This one is perfectly sized for me. I would have liked the bigger screen, but I wouldn't have wanted to wear it, so this was the one. Setup took longer than I expected because I had to update my iPhone to get things to work. Then setup of the watch also took quite a while. After setting it up, I wasn't that impressed. Yes, it was comfortable, but it seemed like just a watch. That only lasted a day or two. Now I just love this thing. I definitely messed around with it for a few days until I got it set up like I wanted it. It took me a while to find a face that felt natural, along with the "complications" on it I liked. Just FYI: Complications are what apple calls the little widgets available right from the watch face. Stuff like weather, times, the fitness app... And once you get them how you want to work with them, they are handy. I turned on all the sleep tracking, and I liked that. It told me my respiration rate and heart rate throughout the night. And it told me when I fell asleep and woke up. Overall I like the implementation of it. Chasing the rings - Hey, this was cool. I setup the fitness goals on the watch, and one day I just took a walk in the woods. 10 minutes in my watch buzzed and said "Hey, it looks like you're working out" and asked me what I was doing. It seemed to know I was walking, and was asking if it was indoors or outdoors. I responded and continued my walk in the woods. At the end of my walk the watch gave me all the statistics of it, like my heartbeat rate, how far I walked, how long I was walking, really just the details. I'm a bit of a nerd, and I thought it was awesome. I also closed my green ring for the day. I like it. It's an expensive watch, but it is also a very cool watch. So far I like it a lot. Durability - ? My last watch lasted 7 years. Will this one? I don't know. Only time can tell that. So at some point in the future I will update this review if I learn the answer one way or the other. ... show more

  • Good buy
Great watch had mine for 3 years never had a problem still holds a charge for about 2days. Always had a case on mine cause they do scratches kinda easy especially for some one that does almost any manual labor.

  • good investment
The Apple Watch has been a great investment! It’s become an essential part of my daily routine, helping me stay on top of notifications, fitness goals, and even sleep tracking. The design is sleek, comfortable to wear all day, and it integrates seamlessly with my other Apple devices, making things like replying to messages or controlling music super convenient. That said, the battery life requires some planning. I usually charge it the night before, and then again in the morning to ensure it’s above 80% for the day. By the evening, it needs another charge to get through the night. It’s a bit of a hassle, but it’s manageable with a routine. Despite the battery trade-off, the fitness tracking and other features are excellent. It motivates me to stay active, and the variety of apps keeps me organized and entertained. If you don’t mind setting up a charging routine, it’s still a fantastic smartwatch and a worthwhile investment! ... show more

  • Truly excellent smart watch, if you need one of them.
This is about my 7th smart "watch". I've have a couple of Fitbits, a Jawbone, a Zenwatch 3 (prettiest of the bunch), a Samsung Galaxy, and an Amazfit Bip (good watch for the money). I've basically got a smart watch museum. I got the Apple Watch because, honestly, I'm getting older and I wanted the fall detection and health features. I've had it for a couple of weeks and here's what I think, from bad to good. 1. Battery life sucks. It'll get through one day, but that's it. The Bip would last for 3 weeks on a charge. 2. The screen isn't great in direct sun. It's better than some others, but doesn't hold a candle to the Bip, which was somehow reflective in bright light, sort of like a Kindle. 3. The sleep tracking is ok, about what you'd expect from a movement detecter, but the app for it isn't very good. Stick with one of the gadgets that goes under your mattress for now. 4. It has some very nice watch faces, with custom complications. Best of the bunch. 5. Very comfortable to wear. The big stem doesn't get in the way at all. 6. The health features work great. It accurately tracks you pulse, and will check you blood oxygen and ECG on demand. I wish it would do the blood oxygen periodically with low saturation detection, but battery is likely a problem. 7. The fitness features rock. Even without a subscription, the watch has helped me get my exercise. It has a ton of other useful features. Siri works fine, you can control Spotify with it, maps are kind of fun. Lots of other things. The really good thing is that, as the practical king of smart watches, there are 3rd party apps/integrations to do just about anything that could make sense, and it's unlikely the watch will be orphaned like my AndroidWear watches were. ... show more
