  • good, works nicely for art
Works great, no issues. the battery lasts a decent amount of time for when i draw and it's somewhat easy to use? i personally am not used to or good at the tapping thing to undo when drawing, but it is convenient when i remember. the pressure sensor works well. it magnetically fits into the ipad which is nice. i use a magnetic keyboard case that doesn't have the pen holder so it does come off from time to time more easily though. on the pricey side for me, but worth the investment. no more drawing with fingers and cramping. palm rejection is really nice. ... show more

  • The Apple Pencil has become part of my everyday routine
**Title:** The Apple Pencil has become part of my everyday routine ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I use my Apple Pencil daily, and it’s honestly one of the best tools I’ve ever bought for my iPad. It writes so smoothly—it really feels like using a real pen on paper. I use it for everything: jotting down quick notes, sketching, marking up PDFs, and even navigating apps when I don’t want to touch the screen. The magnetic charging and instant pairing make it super convenient, and I rarely have to worry about the battery dying. I also love how responsive it is with pressure and tilt, especially when drawing or shading. It’s such a small accessory, but it makes a huge difference in my productivity and creativity. ... show more

  • Nice tool
This is a very handy tool to have. It works well and is great for taking notes, drawing, and other uses on an iPad. Do be aware that you should charge it soon after receiving it. If you let it sit in the box too long, it may not charge properly. I had one that sat too long and would no longer charge, but when I bought another and charged it right away, it worked perfectly. Just be sure to take it out, connect it to your iPad, and get it charged shortly after you receive it. Don’t wait too long. ... show more

  • Purchased used from whatever Amazon calls their used marketplace now
The pencil is fine and working well. The thing to know about purchasing a used Apple Pencil is that it will most likely be at 0% charge level when you receive it –as opposed to a new one that will have at or close to 100% charge. That's because Apple charges and then sets a clever little circuit in their pencils to 'off' before shipping. The pencil is only ever turned 'on' the first time it is attached to an iPad. The pencil is 'on' for ever more until it dies (hence the 0% charge from sitting on a shelf.) This both makes for a nice initial experience with the pencil, and it avoids the ever so slight degradation of the battery in the pencil that occurs every time the battery is drained below about 20% charge. Remember that all items with sealed in/non-replaceable batteries have a limited life span. Leaving a pencil attached to an iPad and never using it won't circumvent this. In fact, the top roughly 20% charging (ie. 80-100%) is detrimental to battery life similar to the bottom 20% (ie. 0-20%.) That's why Apple in recent years has moved to programming their phones, watches, ... so that they will learn a user's charging+use patterns to minimize battery degradation from over/under charging. Too bad Apple Pencils don't have the energy budget+processing capacity to include similar technology. (And yes, most of the bad reputation about Apple has acquired about battery life/performance turns out to be just FUD when objectively investigated. It usually turns out that Apple put a lot of effort into improving battery life/performance (they like to have higher numbers to brag about –as well as delighting their users.) Even the best efforts will run afoul of some people's imagined IDEAL behavior. ... show more
