    • Randomly reboots every couple of minutes
The media could not be loaded. I just got this iPhone XS Max today and for nearly 4 hours I’ve tried resetting it, doing a hard reset, connecting to iTunes to update the software but it literally shuts down and restarts every couple of minutes. I’ve gotten so frustrated that I’m just going to send it back. Obviously people are not quality checking very good or they would have known this phone is hardware defective. I also looked in the SIM card tray slot for a water damage strip and it’s been removed so clearly this phone had damage and they thought they could pull a fast one. However I’m pretty tech savvy and am familiar with most iPhones and how to tell if damage has been done. However it’s kind of hard to do when buying online unfortunately. It’s unfortunate that I got this phone as a quick last minute replacement and now I have to wait for a refund while shelling out more money for another phone. I won’t be buying another phone unless it’s from a trusted reseller. ... show more

This phone came with a passcode lock. Is this a scam or is there a passcode i can use to unlock it??? Be careful buying these. If they give me the passcode I will update my review. Update the passcode was 000000... The phone looks great and works great but the battery life is at 80%. Should last a while though ... show more

Looks brand new and battery life is exceptional! I don’t use facial recognition but it does work perfectly. Apple still has a ways to go to achieve really top notch photos. I’ve been using a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 with its 16 megapixel camera and it is much farther along in all categories but the XS Max is usable for now. Apple needs to step up their sensor development to stay competitive. Everything else is nice to use. I still find it weird that the word intuitive is used to describe iOS software. I find Android to be more to my liking. But I switch every few years and Apple seemed fun to try again. Staying away from the Two-Factor trap, though. When you try to change to another platform it’s an exercise in frustration to get your phone number released. I had to register a whole new Apple ID. But very happy with the company and the actual phone. ... show more

I bought it for my Dad who’s never used a Smart Phone before. I’m teaching him. My version that I currently use is the 6 S Plus. This newer version is great! My Dad has very poor vision. I’m working on the magnify settings in this phone. So far that part is fair. I wish I could customize the magnification more precisely than I it allows me right now. I’ll continue to try to work that out. I like this phone so far. The camera is a lot nicer than mine. I know the newest iPhone has 3 cameras. My Dad doesn’t need that much photography capability.
